SPOILER WARNING: In my 26 years of living on this planet, this is the first game to get me to rage quit. I have not seen worse writing than in this game. The end was so long, dragged on and on... went back to already discuissed topics... again and again...I enjoyed the cases, sadly some of the most interesting characters got killed early...So I did not know who to spend free time with after a while. That never happened in the games before, but that did not stop me from gaming on, because overall the cases and stuff was still fun, but then the end... yeah... I have never cursed this much either.
SourceMehr anzeigenWeniger anzeigen

Story: They simply dropped the ball at the end. There were many fun segments in this game and I expected an interesting twist, especially because they were referencing the first game so much. But the end was a slap in the face. A "♥♥♥♥ you!" to the fans of the first and second game. And because of the ending, it all felt like a huge waist of time. And worse, it made me question if I was not wasting my time in the first few games too. Gameplay: There were HUGE problems with the input registration and input mapping on PC, which made some minigames basically impossible. Here is the breakdown: Lie Bullets: Great, an improvement over the old "collect argument and fire it back" system. Rebuttal Showdown: Without cut limitations, it is now much more fun! Hangman's Gambit Ver. 3.0: Not as bad as DR2, but not as good as DR1, and I think the translation is sometimes wacky (looking at you, "implanted"). Argument Armament: Due to the inconsistent input reaction and the fact that it shows Xbox controller buttons, it was at some points borderline impossible. Debate Scrum: It's very good. I have nothing to object. Mind Mine: Useless but harmless. Psyche Taxi: I liked it, but I could see this one being a bit annoying for some. Mass Panic Debate: It's just annoying.Mehr anzeigenWeniger anzeigen
This game is a masterpiece, it has got the best Danganronpa Story, Graphic, Characters (Shuichi, Kaito and Maki are such nice dudes), the longest and the best class trials of all time with great executions and plotwists and an interesting end by being able to form your own opinion. I love this game and is one of my favourite games. It is worth to play, enjoy!Mehr anzeigenWeniger anzeigen

Okay, at first I have to say I liked the predecessors and this game does gameplay - wise a lot better than them, but the story falls flat in so many ways... I think no one who wants a game with a perfect gameplay loop thinks first of the Danganronpa franchise. But because of the compelling characters (even when completely over the top) the mysteries of the world and the mysteries of the killings. But this game takes itself nor the player serious to the very least. The murders are pretty easy to guess for the most part - which is okay I think - but the overall plot of the killing game makes no sense in many ways although the ending is pretty much open ended/ interpretable. Many plotholes are never again spoken of again (crazy technology that shouldn't work/ Necronomicon/ twins/ volunteers/ cospox and what is a fictional character etc.) That is all obviously my opinion but the game itself felt like it started really slow and it took me some time to get invested and I think at ch.3 I was really invested (although so much babbling about nothing made me almost skip some dialogue) and when the "twist" at the finale happened I felt like the game flipped me off and the predecessors and at this point I started skipping dialogue and I think I didn't miss anything of importance. The game alone might not even be a bad game but for me as someone who was invested in the preceeding games and to some degree in this one it felt like a waste of time... Btw I loved the new split opinion mechanic in the class trials, that was the first mechanic in the whole series where I could understand what the parties had to say and what the counter arguments were. Also I liked that you could train for the class trials in the casino that made sense and was really smart to implement. But the story and the character to some degree were very underwhelming. And I wish I could like this game moreMehr anzeigenWeniger anzeigen
