Grab two free PC games before Epic's clock runs out, while Undertale and Divinity: Original Sin 2 are 75% off

Astral Ascent and LUFTRAUSERS are free to keep today, while two of PC gaming's most celebrated RPGs cost less than $14 combined.

Today's PC game deals cover both ends of the commitment spectrum. You can chase scores in a fighter jet, lose yourself in a roguelite build, or surrender the next stretch of your life to one of the best CRPGs around.

The most urgent offers are on the Epic Games Store. Astral Ascent and LUFTRAUSERS are both free to keep until September 17 at 15:00 UTC—that's 11 pm Beijing time. Their usual US prices are $24.99 and $9.99, respectively.

You only need to claim them before the deadline; there's no requirement to download either game immediately. These are Epic licenses rather than Steam keys, and Epic's support documentation says an account with two-factor authentication is required to collect its free games.

Astral Ascent is a 2023 2D action roguelite from Hibernian Workshop. It offers four playable heroes, a pile of spells to combine into builds, progression between attempts, and local co-op for two players. It's the more substantial of this week's freebies, particularly if your roguelite diet could use more variety in the magic department.

LUFTRAUSERS, meanwhile, is Vlambeer's 2014 arcade aerial combat game: a compact, aggressive score-chaser in which aircraft are assembled from interchangeable weapons, bodies, and propulsion systems. Different parts produce different handling and attack options, giving you plenty of excuses for one more run after the last one ended badly.

Undertale is $2.49 on Steam

If you miss the Epic cutoff—or simply prefer RPGs with memorable characters—Undertale is $2.49 on Steam, reduced by 75% from $9.99. The deal is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with the official US store countdown ending September 18 at 17:00 UTC.

Toby Fox's RPG first launched on September 15, 2015. Its encounters can be resolved without killing, with dialogue and player choices sitting alongside battles built around dodging bullet-like attacks. The writing, characters, and oddball humor remain the main event. Steam currently shows more than 150,000 English-language reviews, with 96% rated positive.

It's also a sensible entry point for anyone curious about DELTARUNE. The latter's official website now lists Chapters 1–5 as available, but its FAQ describes it as a different world with connections to Undertale rather than a direct continuation. Playing Undertale first isn't required, though $2.49 is a fairly painless price for additional context.

One caveat for international shoppers: Undertale officially supports English and Japanese, but not Chinese.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 drops to $11.24

The other big RPG bargain is Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition, currently $11.24 on US Steam, down 75% from $44.99.

Larian's party-based CRPG mixes story choices and classless character building with turn-based battles driven by elevation, positioning, and volatile elemental interactions. It supports solo play or co-op for up to four players and includes Simplified Chinese.

Steam lists more than 83,000 English-language reviews, 95% of them positive. Just make sure you know which package you're buying: this offer is for the Definitive Edition base game, not the Divine Edition bundle containing digital extras.

With Larian working on a new Divinity game, Original Sin 2 is an obvious way to investigate the studio's earlier work—but don't treat it as Baldur's Gate 3 with different scenery. It has its own character-building and combat systems rather than using BG3's ruleset. Larian has also said the upcoming Divinity tells a new story and won't require players to finish Original Sin 2 first, despite continuity details and familiar characters.

For today, the priority is simple: claim Epic's two freebies before 15:00 UTC. After that, Undertale at $2.49 and Divinity: Original Sin 2 at $11.24 are the standout purchases—two enormously well-regarded RPGs for a combined $13.73.

US prices and availability were checked by GameGeeker on September 17, 2026, at approximately 02:00 UTC.
