Golden Spatula PC Version Approved, Giving the Mobile Hit a Shot at Legitimacy
According to the National Press and Publication Administration's July 2026 domestic online game approvals, Tencent's auto-battler Fight of the Golden Spatula has been approved for a PC version. Gamersky reported the news on August 31. There is still no launch date for the PC release, so the mobile version remains the only official way to play for now.
For an auto-battler, PC support is more than a convenience feature. An approved PC build gives the game formal desktop footing instead of leaving that audience to emulator workarounds. Tencent has treated the game as one of its main auto-chess titles, and the approval puts it more directly in front of desktop Teamfight Tactics players.

Pacing and interface clarity matter more here than raw spectacle, and PC has a built-in edge on both. Input precision is better, matches are easier to follow on stream, and the format works better for event broadcasts and clip circulation. The mobile version will still be the base game, so running both platforms in parallel is the likely norm.
The same batch also included 2026 game approval change information, with imported online game approvals also shown in image form. These domestic approval lists are routine now, and one license should not be read as a launch plan.
When the PC version goes live, frame rate and matchmaking will be the first real tests. A license is only the first step; the update and live-service schedule will matter more. For now, the sensible move is to keep practicing team comps on mobile and move over when the PC version arrives.
