"Known Quality Existence" releases short videos in succession—Is Capcom testing the waters?

Kind of interesting.

Capcom has recently been steadily increasing the exposure for Pragmata. Not through big news. But through more fragmented content. Through short videos on the official account.

What’s already clear is this: the official Pragmata X account has recently posted several short videos related to Diana. The focus is very concentrated. And the pace is pretty dense.

The one posted on March 21 points to the Deluxe Pack content. It includes a dancing emote for Diana. The selling point is very straightforward. A character action pack. Relatively lightweight. And fairly appealing.

The one on March 23 feels more like a character mood short. The caption is simple too. Spring has gotten warmer. Diana fell asleep. This kind of content doesn’t push mechanics. It only pushes the character’s presence.

The March 24 video was titled "*Smashing My TV." The March 25 video was titled "Guess Who I Am?" One leans more toward playful antics. The other leans more toward interaction. But the goal is the same. Keep the account from going cold. Keep the character from fading out.

This strategy isn’t complicated. At its core, it comes down to two words: character cultivation.

A lot of game marketing only knows how to drop a trailer. And once it’s out, that’s it. Players don’t remember the characters. And they don’t remember the emotions either. Short videos are different. They don’t necessarily provide new information. But they can repeatedly reinforce a character’s impression. Especially for a character like Diana, who is obviously well suited for expressions, animations, and daily-life snippets.

There are issues too. If the content always stays at the level of "cute," "goofy antics," or "fell asleep," the buzz will feel hollow. It can drive shares. But it may not turn into real attention. In the end, players still look at the game itself. They look at how polished it is. They look at the gameplay.

For casual onlookers, the role of this kind of video is to lower the barrier. First, let you get to know Diana. Then see whether you’ll click into Pragmata. For those already following it, the role is to keep things alive a little longer. To stop the discussion from dying out completely.

My judgment is simple. This wave of official account management is effective. But it’s only effective for the first half of the process. It can boost the character’s popularity. But it can’t replace actual gameplay footage speaking for itself.

If you were already interested in Pragmata, you can keep following the official account updates and section news. If you were only charmed by Diana in the short videos, don’t rush to conclusions yet. It’s fine to watch the character. But the game matters more.

At least for now, Capcom knows who should be in the spotlight. As for the rest, it depends on whether Pragmata itself can live up to it.
