Editorial principles and disclosures

Editorial Policy & Disclosure

GameGeeker combines deals, reviews and news to support informed game choices.

Deals provide price and purchase-timing context. Reviews explain gameplay and intended audiences. News covers updates and changes that may affect those assessments.

Topic selection

We prioritize coverage that changes what a player might do next. If a piece of information affects whether to play, whether to buy, or whether to wait, it is worth covering.

The roles of deals, reviews and news

Deals

We track current offers and price history to help readers assess when to buy.

Reviews

We review gameplay and intended audiences to help readers assess whether a game suits their preferences.

News

We cover updates, controversies and changes in player reception that may affect purchase or play decisions.

Scores and editorial judgment

A score is a compressed editorial judgment, not a mechanical truth and not a commercial rating.

When a game has a narrow audience, unstable post-launch condition, or meaningful caveats, we try to explain that in the body rather than leaving only a number behind.

Independence and disclosure

Our reviews, recommendations, and news coverage are based on original editorial judgment. We do not accept paid score changes, and commercial relationships do not directly determine our conclusions.

If sponsorship, affiliate revenue, review code, or another relationship could affect reader judgment, we will disclose it where appropriate.

Corrections and updates

If a page contains a factual error, outdated information, or a pricing issue, we may correct or update it once verified. Readers are encouraged to contact us when they spot something wrong.

Original work notice
