BUENO PERO AY QUE PULIRLO SOBRE TODO EL MOVIMIENTO EN MECH 5 ESTABA MEJORVer másVer menos
Reactor: Online Sensors: Online Weapons: Online ALL SYSTEMS NOMINALVer másVer menos
Its similar to the other MW5 game with some slight differences and some tactical/command stuff. The mech equipping system is also changed a bit in the weapons and hardpoints. The variety of weapons is slightly lower. Much less customization and half of the hardpoints are locked. Overall its worse than the MW5 mercenaries game, they added a campaign with a storyline and some cutscenes and its all very mediocre. You are a new clan recruit that joins the jaguar whatever clan military before a full scale invasion of the inner sphere. Being a rookie you will expect easy tasks, but no, you will be the spearhead of everything and with limited mechs, low tonnage, crappy weapons and decorative lance mates. You wont have a full 500 tonnage lance until way into late game. every mission adds 10 ton to the max ton capacity, so you need to play like 30+ missions to get a 500 ton lance. Some mechs have terrible base loadouts, and you will have to modify them to make them useful. Some 80 ton mechs are worse than 65 ton mechs, some of the 100 tons are crappy as hell too. There are some base builds that are literally 1 med laser and 1 short range autocannon, that will take half a day to drop any mech. AI is as bad as in MW5 mercs, but here this causes more problems because of the scripts that control the mission flow. Besides getting in the middle and constantly bodyblock your mech or the other lance mates, they cant shoot for ♥♥♥♥ unless ordered to focus on 1 target, any other order is a failure except the follow me. All enemies will attack you instantly when you are in their line of sight, no matter if there are 10 more allied mechs around you, for them the lance mates dont exist if you are visible. This is so bad that you have to play taking cover and issuing orders to the lance instead of actually fighting. If you fight on a traditional style you will eventually lose because of the ALL MOBS GO FOR YOU stupid mechanic. All mechs and tanks and helos and whatever will go towards you like moths to a lightbulb. The enemy mechs clearly charge towards you ignoring completely the lance mates in front of them, they just run and try to get thru and go into your face to land some melee hit (melee sucks in this game big time) The campaign is ridiculous in every single step, every mission has been crafted by morons that think its fair to face 30 to 60 mechs per mission with 5 ♥♥♥♥ mechs on your team and with and AI system that is so bad that all enemies have preference for you if you are in their line of sight. Most of the fights have several waves of mechs that you have to killl with limited or no repairs at all. EVERY SINGLE ENEMY will attack you and ignore the lance mates 100%. If lance mates get damage its because they get in the middle when someone is shooting towards you. This is particularly annoying in a few missions where you have to survive the main mission with your initial mech. In other regular misssions if you die you can take control of one of the lance mates and continue the rest of the mission, but in those ones if you die the mission fails. The mission scripts are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad that there is one of the late game quests where you end up with a duel and the enemy mechs that are not supposed to attack you (the guy dueling you clearly orders no one to attack you) but.... well, they attack you, making it a 1 vs 6 brawl with your lance mates stopping doing anything when the adds die, and you sill have to down a heavy mech after having received the damage of several mechs hitting you which is basically impossible in any difficulty level. If you win in those scripted fights its by pure chance, they are retardedly hard and stupidly crafted. Basically you have to hide and wait for the mechs to die before engaging the "boss", just because the programmers are incompetent. Story mode is not story mode, its slightly easier mode. There is nothing easy in this game. Its all hordes and you are outnumbered in a ridiculous way in most missions. The stupid lace mates AI and lack of repairs are the difficulty, its basically you gonna destroy 20-30 mechs yourself per mission, while your lance mates will destroy from 0 to 5 mechs each one. They are decorative 90% and they dont attack full strenght unless you order them to attack, they will shoot randomly and way less often when not ordered anything. Cutscenes are not very good. The main story is not bad but also not superb.Lots of dislikable characters on both campaigns. Too many DEI inclusions (that can be overlooked), but also lame scripts and ridiculous scenes like the one a woman punches a man thats wearing an armor, double her size, in the belly and he bends like mike tyson just hit him. The people that wrote those cutscenes are bad, really bad at it. Customization of mechs is very limited. Omni mechs are not omni in any way. Most slots are locked and base builds are very often terrible and you need to change weapons. Sandbox mode went away in this one..... The newer Ghost bear campaign is not as bad as the base campaign, at least in story terms, but the gameplay is also absurd with constant hordes and you have as usual very limited repairs and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lance mates that wont shoot properly unless ordered to shoot. Every time your target dies you have to get a new one with R and then press f1 and then f1 again to make them attack again like a real pilot, if not they are half retarded and they will shoot once in a while while moving back and forth and bodyblocking you as much as possible. There is a mission that suppossedly its a trial by combat with another clan, on top of a space ship. You would expect a duel of the best mechs each clan has to offer, in equal starting conditions....You would expect they send a big ass lance of 500 tons to do a duel or some sort, but no... they send about 5 lances each one bigger than the previous one with med, light and heavy mechs mixed, while you are bombarded by a huge dropship that rotates to make it harder to hit, and several bombers that make constant strafing runs across the deck.... and you have to fight all that with 5 mechs and only 2 repair bays mid game with 1 use on each one. No air support, no dropship, no real rules for the AI, they do whatever the script writer imagined would be cool.... A team duel converted into a king of the hill battle just for the sake of the script. All fights are this way, retardedly designed with ridiculous odds to make it look more heroic and dynamic. Its all bs and this horde crap shouldnt be in a MW game, its shameful. Get only on sale and only if you like the mechwarrior universe, otherwise its a half assed tactical wannabe simulator that cant do anything well. MW5 Mercs is much better overall mechwarrior game, even with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI like this one, at least you dont have to fight constant hordes in ridiculous numerical inferiority during all the game, and the mechs are much more customizable, and there are not plenty of badly directed cuscenes to watch.
