Planet Zoo 2 Launch Listing Undercuts Steam by $6.10

For players already certain they want Frontier Developments’ expanded animal-management sandbox, the $43.89 listed price is a straightforward $6.10 saving against the $49.99 standard price on US Steam. That is a 12.2% gap on a game that has only just reached full release on Windows PC.

A modest launch saving for committed builders

Planet Zoo 2 launched on 13 October 2026 and builds on the series’ detailed zoo construction and animal care systems. Its new headline features include fully aquatic and flying species, while Wildlife Reserves let players take animals beyond traditional zoo exhibits into larger open environments.

Loaded lists the standard Windows Steam key at $43.89, while the Steam standard edition is currently $49.99 with no direct Steam discount shown. The advertised saving is real, but it is not a dramatic launch reduction. Checkout taxes or fees were not checked, and no sale end date was provided, so buyers should confirm the final total before committing.

Early reception and hardware should shape the decision

Steam shows 654 positive reviews from 922 user reviews, or 71% positive, when checked on 14 October. That is a solidly positive early response. Players who prefer to buy only after a game’s reception has settled may find little urgency in a $6.10 difference.

Frontier’s PC support guidance lists 16GB of RAM, 40GB of storage, and at least an RTX 2060 6GB, RX 5600 XT 6GB, or Arc A750 8GB-class graphics card. The existence of launch troubleshooting guidance does not establish a widespread problem, but it does make checking a PC against the stated requirements sensible.

$6.10 lower than Steam’s listed $49.99 price; checkout taxes and fees not checked.

The Loaded listing is the better advertised price for anyone ready to start building immediately. But $6.10 is a small saving on a game whose early reception is still settling and whose minimum specifications are relatively substantial. Cautious players have a sound reason to wait for a deeper discount.
