*Bloodborne*’s R-Rated Animation Is Here! The Hunter Finally Makes a Move

Tonight’s news roundup is packed with major updates, and the first thing that yanked me out of my chair was that Bloodborne has finally seen new movement on the film adaptation front. At CinemaCon, Sony Pictures confirmed that this classic hardcore action game will be adapted into an R-rated animated film, with gaming creator Jacksepticeye helping drive the project behind the scenes. Based on the current information, the film will try to preserve the original’s Lovecraftian horror, gothic atmosphere, and bloody violence, though story details and the visual style have yet to be revealed.
For Bloodborne, an R-rated animated film is actually a better fit than live action for going all in. The damp, decayed, religiously deranged visual density of Yharnam would be easy for a live-action movie to have its ankles grabbed by budget limits and censorship, while animation can hit harder with monster transformations, the oppressive blood moon atmosphere, and the hunters’ action scenes. The real issue is that it can’t just pile on gore—the true challenge is turning the game’s fragmented storytelling into a main narrative that audiences can really latch onto.
There was also big news from the cracking scene. The DenuvOwO group recently announced that they had bypassed the triple-layer protection of Steam, Denuvo, and Symbiote in NBA 2K24 through a hypervisor; the original statement also claimed that with this title now cracked, the entire NBA 2K series has effectively been cracked. This news is bound to explode in technical discussion forums, but for ordinary players, the more important question is whether the publisher will adjust its anti-cheat systems, online content, and PC experience strategy going forward.

Players have also set their sights on the XGP camp. Promotional material for Metro 2039 was reportedly discovered in the Xbox Game Pass app, sparking speculation that it could launch directly into XGP on day one. Considering Xbox’s long-term support for shooter studios and the fact that the partnership between the two sides is widely seen as promising, this rumor definitely carries some explosive potential. If it really does join XGP on day one, then for players who enjoy immersive FPS games and post-apocalyptic storytelling, it would be almost like having a full magazine loaded straight into their hands.
On the community side, Cities: Skylines has produced a pretty jaw-dropping case. A Steam review from one player shows a playtime of 29926.3 hours. While some of that may include idle time, the number is still outrageous. Even more brutal, on April 11, 2026, the player left a negative review, focusing complaints on the base game being dull, its excessive dependence on Mods, and frequent updates breaking Mod compatibility. They also specifically called out the pastel cartoon art style, building designs, and post-update crashing issues.

Finally, let’s talk about a project that feels more like “test-firing a new gun”: Capcom’s brand-new original IP Pragmata, which is labeled in the store section as PRAGMATA, is confirmed to officially launch on April 17. It focuses on “hacking + shooting” gameplay and has earned an average score of 86 on Metacritic, giving it a very strong start in terms of word of mouth. The game uses a dual-protagonist design: players first control Diana to open a hacking panel on enemies, then have Hugh seize the opening to finish them off quickly. The rhythm of this system sounds like a hard weld between a hacking minigame and tactical shooting.

The buying recommendation is straightforward: if you like Capcom’s action feel and want to try a new mechanic different from traditional TPS games, Pragmata is well worth keeping an eye on. The standard edition is priced at 268 yuan, and after a 10% discount on the Youxia store it comes to 240.88 yuan; the deluxe edition is 295.2 yuan after the same 10% discount, and pre-orders also include Hugh’s “New School Bushido” and Diana’s “New School Kunoichi” costumes. If you just want to see whether the hacking gameplay has lasting appeal, you can wait for long-term player feedback after launch; but if you already enjoy sci-fi dual protagonists and high-intensity shooting, then this new gun is worth loading in advance.
