GTA 6 Claw Machine Puts PS5 Physical Edition on Display, Sparks Debate
GTA6 has not officially launched, but multiple PS5 physical editions have reportedly appeared in a claw machine at Italy's Luna Park amusement park. Players posted the discovery on Reddit, where it quickly sparked discussion. The photos show the prizes inside a claw machine, prompting players to speculate that anyone who inserts a coin and successfully grabs one could obtain GTA6 before release. Neither the physical editions nor the promotional artwork on their packaging has been officially verified.
An unreleased game in a claw machine is an attention-grabbing setup, but the evidence proves little. A visible game box does not guarantee that it contains a working copy, let alone a disc that can run normally.

Players have urged the original poster to grab the prize and become the first person in the world to play GTA6. Others have joked that they need one dollar to try. The bigger question is whether the machine can be won at all.

The machine's design has also prompted suspicion. Some players believe the owner may have set the win rate to zero. Claw strength, the angle of the grab, and where the prize lands can all determine the result. Even with the physical editions displayed prominently, they may simply be bait designed to encourage more coin insertions.
One player summed up that skepticism by writing, "Oh, it's one of those machines... Then I can guarantee the owner already set the win rate to zero." That is a community joke, not evidence that the machine's win rate is actually zero.
The promotional image printed on the packaging has also drawn scrutiny. Some players think the city visible in the lower-right corner of the boat scene looks unusual, while others have even suggested that the image may have been generated by AI.

That remains speculation. It does not prove that the packaging is fake, and it certainly cannot confirm that the copies inside the machine are genuine or functional. The original report also provides no official release date for GTA6 and does not establish whether the physical editions in the claw machine are real.
For now, spending one dollar is a gamble, not a reliable way to play GTA6 early. Only an official response or a successful boot test would settle the matter. Until then, the machine is an unverified curiosity.
