Logitech apologizes, then deletes the statement — players baffled by the move
Logitech Deletes Apology After "Dog Paw" Ad Controversy, Sparking Fresh Backlash
The peripheral giant is under fire again. Logitech issued an apology in March for a controversial video, then quietly removed the statement—a move that's raising more questions than it answers.

The trouble started in March when Logitech's official flagship store posted a promotional video depicting consumers as dogs, complete with paws pressing on a mouse. The backlash was immediate. Logitech's official Douyin account quickly posted an apology, stating "every player deserves respect, and we failed to uphold that standard." The company promised full management accountability and confirmed the responsible team had been disciplined.

Fast forward one month. Logitech's Douyin account and official Weibo resumed normal operations, posting new product updates as if nothing happened. The apology statement? Gone. Users combing through the account found no trace of it, and the comment sections erupted once more.

An apology should signal a lasting commitment, not a temporary PR band-aid. Deleting it sends the message that those "respect for users" promises were just damage control. With Razer, SteelSeries, and Corsair all competing for market share, this handling looks tone-deaf. Players don't expect perfection—they expect brands that genuinely learn from mistakes. Logitech now faces a steeper climb to rebuild trust, and words alone won't cut it.
