Monster Hunter Outlanders beta launches April 29 as TiMi and Capcom's first mobile collaboration
Tencent's TiMi Studio and Capcom have officially partnered on Monster Hunter: Outlanders, launching April 29 at 10:00 AM with pre-downloads starting April 27 at 10:00 AM. This marks the franchise's first open-world mobile entry, though the test run is Android-exclusive and limited in scope.

Hardware requirements are steep. Capcom recommends Snapdragon 845 or higher with Android 12.0+. Running an open-world action game on mobile while maintaining responsive combat demands serious processing power. This is a limited, wipe-enabled paid test—progress won't carry over, but players get early access to mobile hunting mechanics.

TiMi has built up solid action game credentials over recent years, and Capcom brings decades of Monster Hunter expertise. Early footage shows wyvern battles and mounting systems translated reasonably well. How open-world design adapts to touchscreen controls is the real test here.

For veteran hunters, mobile convenience is obvious. Core players want answers on three fronts: does combat feel close to console? Will monster AI and level design hold up? What monetization model are they using? April 29 should clarify all three. iOS players will need to wait for future test phases.
