Sony Reveals PS May 2026 Lineup with 007 as Closing Title
Sony's PlayStation lineup for May 2026 spans eight titles from the 7th to the 26th, headlined by 007: Emergence from the Hitman studio IO Interactive, telling the story of a young Bond.

The slate looks busy, but only one or two games have real weight. 007: Emergence closes out the month on May 26th, and IO Interactive's stealth-assassination chops from Hitman are proven. The young Bond angle is fresh—just hope it doesn't devolve into mindless shooting.
Mixtape launches May 7th with a nostalgic coming-of-age premise: three friends on their last adventure before parting ways. These narrative-driven indies either leave you staring at the credits for two minutes or fade from memory instantly. May 12th brings Directive 8020, a horror game about secrets aboard a crashed colony ship—sounds like Dead Space meets Alien: Isolation.

Timekeeper's Journey hits PlayStation on May 11th as a casual title, though its PC version got delayed because of Subnautica 2. Hard to parse that logic—afraid of losing traffic to Subnautica 2? May 21st drops Solace Café: Tokyo and Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks on the same day, one zen and one violent, zero audience overlap.
May 22nd sees Bubsy 4D and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, both filler material. Bubsy surviving from the '90s to now is its own miracle. LEGO games are what they are—kids have fun, that's the point.

Worth watching this month: 007 and Directive 8020. The former depends on whether IO can bring that Hitman flavor to Bond. The latter needs its horror atmosphere to carry the full runtime. Everything else is either too niche or just filling slots. If May's a drought for you, pick selectively, but keep expectations in check.
