PS5 China Version Price Hike! Starting at 3999 Yuan, Like Muffled Thunder Before a Rainstorm

Before the light on the screen dims, I'm used to saving my progress first, then finding the best angle to take a screenshot. Just like now, seeing the announcement, my finger hovers over the confirm button, subconsciously holding my breath. The news from March 27 is like an unexpected late spring chill, blowing away the originally peaceful night.

Sony China announced that starting April 2, 2026, the suggested retail prices for the China-version PS5 and PS5 Pro will increase. The Digital Slim Edition reaches 3999 yuan, the Disc Edition 4399 yuan, and the Pro version is 6299 yuan. The reason is stated conservatively: "affected by the continuous pressure facing the global economy." For players accustomed to measuring value through visuals, this price adjustment is like a layer of fog settling on originally clear glass.

Speaking of the game itself, hardware is the gateway to the world. When the threshold becomes higher, the act of pushing open the door becomes slightly more hesitant. This price adjustment is a necessary choice following a "comprehensive and prudent assessment"; the official wording is like a furnished showroom, tidy but lacking a human touch. For players who want to inhabit that world, the physical sensation brought by the jumping numbers is more noticeable than a drop in room temperature. Whether the 6299 yuan Pro version can deliver finer light and shadow remains unknown, but the weight in our wallets has indeed increased.

However, beyond the visuals, economic tides are beyond our control. If you still wish to settle in that ocean, it is recommended to make your purchase before April 2. Light and shadow will change, prices will rise, but the desire to stand a little longer in that twilight should not be interrupted by bills. After all, what we are buying is not a machine, but a ticket to another season.

In this era where prices could rise at any time, cherish the days when you can peacefully find an angle to take a screenshot. Play and cherish.
