Yeah it's fun. Yeah it's better than MK11. Improved story mode. Good roster. Interesting combat, and a cool cameo system. It even looks great and runs well on my 3060. But something is off, don't you agree? Only 22 fighters in the base roster? A weird number, right? Well there's a reason for that. #23 is Shang Tsung- A pre-order bonus despite being a central character in the main game ($8 if you missed your chance). #24 and 25 are Ermac and Quan Chi- Fully implemented, fully completed, featured side characters in the story that you face more than once. They will be in Kombat pack 1 ($40). We are fast approaching the logical conclusion of Warner Brothers bs and I am not thrilled at how normalized this behavior is becoming. AAA games are officially $70... fine, it can't be helped. But to ride the standardized price raise while being more aggressive with the nickel/dime tactics is just insulting.Show moreShow less

We need a 60fps patch ASAP. Having 30fps content on PC in [current year] is not acceptable. Other than that the game is pretty solid! It looks great, it plays great, the story was good imo, the characters are interesting and the amount of solo content is decent. However, the gear system is not as elaborate as in Mk11 and the microtransations are NOT a welcome sight. Denuvo also has to go. If Harada agreed that the addition of Denuvo in Tekken 7 was a mistake, so should NetherRealm. I also don't like that 2 characters that are going to be in the Kombat Pass are already in the game (Ermac and Quan Chi). Just give us these characters and come up with other ones for the KP. This is super greedy and lazy. It's even worse than Sektor and Cyrax in MK11, at least you didn't let us play them, period. this time you decide to not make them playable (even thought they work for the AI) AND sell them at a later date? That's awful. The game is good but needs improvement and shouldn't ship with performance issues, 30fps content, microtransactions, Denuvo and greedy DLC tactics. I would put a "meh" review if I could because of the negatives but for that reason I have to say "no".Show moreShow less

Kind of crazy how developers are allowed to release games for $90 yet require additional purchases to actually experience the full game. Why release an unfinished game then? Oh it is finished, but here please give us another $50 for extra stuff that we should have included in the base game. Hmm, amazing only $50 to get other characters. So I spend $140 to get the game and the full characters; which if it was any other decade in time, they would be included through maybe a challenge to complete. Every game is like this nowadays, pathetic money-grabbing multi-million dollar companies begging for more because yeah $90 isn't good enough it seems. Is the game fun? Yeah it is awesome, story is good and combat feels great. But is it justified for $90? No. $60 sure, with included content. Anything over $100 is a scam, and that pretty much goes for every game nowadays.Show moreShow less

I am a huge Mortal Kombat fan. I bought this game early because I had been waiting for a Mortal Kombat like this since X. I paid for Shang Tsung and bought the first Kombat Pack. I played the story and I loved it. I have spent numerous hours in practice alone trying out different kameos and kombatants. I do not regret the money I have spent. I loved everything.....until today. When the servers went offline and the addition of the Scorpion DA skin, it made me realize that this game is WB's attempt at a live service fighting game. You cannot access any modes outside of traditional towers and story, unlock any costumes and cannot progress through any characters mastery unless you are connected to the internet. The Invasions seasonal content is there to keep player retention and is designed to bait people into buying money on skins. To top it off, you cannot use PAID FOR DLC FIGHTERS IN OFFLINE MODE. I'm so glad I cannot use Shang Tsung, the fighter I paid extra money for, because the servers are down. I cannot recommend this game until this is rectified. Horrible practice and scummy to the highest degree.Show moreShow less
