PLEASE, DO NOT FALL FOR OR SPREAD MISINFORMATION! Recently, the publisher Takes Two Inc (Owner of Rockstar, 2k, and others) has purchased Gearbox and with it, its IPs. such as the Borderlands games. And so, they applied their general EULA (THE EXACT SAME THEY USE FOR GTA V) for every newly acquired IP. The thing is, EULAs are a way to companies to lessen their liabilities or protect the IP itself, it DOES NOT mean whatever is written in there will be ENFORCED or better yet, ACCEPTED in court. Now, i don't like Takes Two, 2k, or any big corpo for that matter, but this is just a big case of misinformation being spread like wildfire by people who had never read any EULA in their life until this point and refuse to do their own research. NO you will NOT be banned for downloading, modifying your game, abusing exploits or using cheats on ANY of the single player games. These exist to moderate their MULTIPLAYER TITLES ONLY! proof? i have used both mods AND 3rd party softwares on my latest alt character playthroughs of both Borderlands TPS AND 3. such as gibbed, dialog skippers, camera changers, etc... and have yet to receive a warning. NO YOU WILL NOT BE BANNED FOR USING A VPN! NO THEY ARE NOT SPYING ON YOU! if you go to the BL game pages on SteamDB, you can check that the LATESTS patches on ALL BL games were made BEFORE the T2 purchase, thus, BEFORE THE EULA CHANGES! its IMPOSSIBLE for them to have added ANY sort of spying software in your computer. don't believe me? go watch EpicNNG's (a Borderlands modder). NO A WAIVER DOES NOT COMPLETELY REMOVE YOUR RIGHT TO SUE. i'm not a lawyer, but just a few minutes of research you will learn that a waiver will not COMPLETELY take your rights from you and it doesn't mean it will be accepted in court. *note: If you have purchased or consumed ANY Disney product you have agreed to this exact same waiver. Data collection: this is the only valid part but still EXTREMELY weird and hypocritical to get outraged by. if you have a SHiFT account or ANYTHING that uses an EMAIL, they have your phone number. And if they have your phone number, they have EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF INFORMATION ABOUT YOU. THIS IS NOT EXCLUSIVE TO THIS EULA, IT'S THE STANDARD FOR THE ENTIRE INTERNET. if this warrants this level of outrage, then you should quit the internet in its entirety. Not only is this EULA pretty standard, it's used for every Takes Two IP (GTAs, 2Ks...). I'm NOT pro Corpo in any way, shape or form. i will always fight for the consumer and the right to not be treated like cattle but please, please, please DO NOT be a victim of the bandwagon effect. do your own research and for the love of God, do not go out spreading misinformation about things you have no clue about. Do not be a fall for the Dunning Kruger effect. Be better. ✿Show moreShow less
*** Gearbox and Randy Pitchford have not been paying their developers what they were promised. If this matters to you DO NOT BUY BORDERLANDS 3. *** Borderlands 3, on the whole is a solid game. The gunplay is much improved on previous entries as are the vehicles and most of the side missions are pretty fun, best bought on sale. But there are a lot of problems; Weapon Manufacturers: They are a very mixed bag in this game. Vladof and Jakobs weapons are solid across the board, definitely the best in the game. Maliwan, Tediore, Hyperion and COV are meh; some of their weapons are good but others are poor. Atlas and Torgue (?!) are just awful in general, in my playthroughs I've avoided using any of their weapons. Story : Predictable and disinteresting, with antagonists that I want to kill not because they're evil, but because they're mind-numbingly annoying. As if Randy Pitchford distilled his personality into two angsty teenagers. Playable Characters : There's not a lot wrong with them, but I find them distinctly less endearing than the 6 Vault Hunters from Borderlands 2. Moze is generic, outshone by Tiny Tina and Gaige. Amara is dull, and even Zane isn't particularly interesting. FL4K I rather like; he has a certain dry humour but even so I find his voice to be too emotionless. The loot aspect of Borderlands 3 isn't great either; Legendaries drop far too often. Whereas in Borderlands 2 I enjoyed finding new and interesting Legendaries over multiple playthoughs, and it encouraged you to keep rare variants for the future. In BL3 you may as well not have a bank, just spend 5 minutes farming the boss, he'll drop a Legendary in next to no time. TL;DR : If you're new to the franchise, go play Borderlands 2. If you're wondering about picking up Borderlands 3, pick it up heavily discounted and not at full price.Show moreShow less

sidequests are fine. 7/10 standard borderlands fare graphics, sound, music 9/10 easily an improvement over borderlands 2 gameplay 10/10 exactly what i wanted from a borderlands sequel, wouldn't change a thing. main story 2/10 intolerable, everything about the main story is wrong and bad. boring and unfunny, unskippable and cringe. purge the dialogue by deleting pakchunk3-WindowsNoEditor.pak through pakchunk3-WindowsNoEditor_11_P.pak in Borderlands 3/OakGame/Content/Paks and put on a nice audiobook. this is a case where all the writers needed to do was make mashed potatoes and somehow burned the whole franchise down.Show moreShow less

Borderlands 3 really builds off of what made Borderlands 2 a good game, however this time around most of the content in the game is hidden behind paywalls. The game is full of sleazy ways to get you to spend money. For example, the game goes as far as to constantly send you reminder messages to play certain DLCs, even if you do not own them with no way of disabling these messages. I ended up buying the $120 ultimate edition, which was a major mistake. By the way it's advertised you would assume you would be able to access all the content the game has to offer. After all, included in the bundle is a "Season Pass" which gives you access to a bunch of DLCs. Upon finishing the main story and finally coming around to play the DLCs, I found out that I can't even play some of them because THERE'S A WHOLE OTHER SECOND SEASON PASS YOU HAVE TO BUY FOR $30 TO ACCESS THEM ON TOP OF THE $120 I ALREADY PAID FOR THE ULTIMATE EDITION. Absolutely greedy. Don't encourage this behavior. Don't buy the game like I did.Show moreShow less

All this data being collected by a company who's CEO was accused of leaving a USB with illegal material on it as well as sensitive data of Gearbox/2K partners in a medieval themed restaurant, and were supposed to just give in to these absurd terms of service? My take on these terms of service changes is that I now have more hard drive space and I will not be playing another Borderlands game until these terms are changed. This also extends to the majority of Take-Two published games. Welcome to my ♥♥♥♥ list Take-Two, you've earned it.Show moreShow less
