When I bought the original a few weeks before this came out, I was like "Oh for the love of god", But i got this version for free and good on you developers for giving this for free to the people who owned the original.Show moreShow less
It's alright, good if you have absolutely nothing else to do, but otherwise, it gets boring pretty quickly.Show moreShow less

60 Seconds is more good ideas than good execution. When you first see it, you think "wow, 60 Seconds is the kind of game for me.", with its 1950's cold war aesthetic that any old Fallout fan would probably love. Or at least that's what got me even interested in playing it in the first place, as I certainly wasn't interested in the gameplay, as the gameplay seemed downplayed, as it was aiming for more a satiric or humorous angle. Which might have worked if there were something funny here. Ironically, Fallout Shelter (and I hate to give the devil their due), does a much better job of being an actual game, with real things to manage and... I'm getting ahead of myself. You play your 60 seconds of snatch and grab gameplay, which feels like you're on a game show, then do ten to twenty minutes of metering out food and water or sending people out to get supplies, and then hope something interesting happens (spoiler: It doesn't). So you play, you fail. You play, you fail again. Your next go around, you might win. The thing was... I wasn't enjoying it. I kept throwing myself at it in hopes I'd find the secret sauce of engaging gameplay I've been craving... but nope. There's no sense of progression towards anything, and that's the problem here: 60 Seconds borders on FMV game level of choices and interaction. Maybe a little harsh - but I think it's accurate. When you send people out for a supply run, can you play these sections? Nope. Can you tell them where to go? Nope. Can you dictate how they might interact with others? Nope. The most you can do is decide who goes out and what they bring - and who knows if sending people out with stuff actually works, as the game doesn't tell you, and your items usually always come back broken anyway. Still. I thought it was me, that I wasn't getting it, or that I wasn't appreciating it, and after all this time and after playing their sequel game, 60 Parsecs, it confirmed what my problem was and I can say this without hesitation: 60 Seconds is kinda horrible There's no goals, other than hoping for things to happen. 60 Parsecs adds a much needed reason to do things beyond just surviving. When you send people out in 60 Parsecs, you actually have a map system with destinations to send them to. There's crafting and items to manage as well as being able to repair them yourself depending on your resources, which means you're no longer so reliant on the luck of a character maybe returning or not. Yes, I know it's a review of the first game, but even the devs realised how lacking 60 Seconds was and tried to rectify it in the sequel - and for the most part, they did. That's not a ringing endorsement either, 60 Seconds should have had the features 60 Parsecs had. This is a borderline tech demo. 60 Seconds! Reatomized doesn't add a whole lot to the base game. Like many recent rereleases on Steam, Reatomized does the bare minimum to be considered "worthy" of having another Steam page - though it was free to previous owners, and some games don't even do that - but as far as I can see from a consumer angle, the new challenge mode is just the same old content stretched even thinner. It's like getting the smallest pad of butter and doing everything you can to spread it across ten pancakes fairly: Nobodies gonna even tell there was butter on them and you just wasted your time. Basically, Reatomized does nothing to fix 60 Seconds core issues. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that this was developed with an intentionally limited scope and low budget, with no possibility for feature creep. I commend them for being able to stick to a vision, but what vision there was... possibly wasn't worth seeing through. The best games are ones that swing for the fences and rarely play it safe. So unlike the usual case of a great game with obvious cut content, no vision was compromised here - because there was nothing to compromise - and that's the damndest thing I can say about this game. The Pros -Everything to do with how it looks. The fun and cartoony characters, the throwback style, etc The Cons -Everything else about it -Very little gameplay -What little gameplay there is feels like a chore -No choices or control in winning, you just hope something will happen based on the items you have -When something does happen, it's still not very interesting -Boring -Not fun -Surprisingly, not a very funny game eitherShow moreShow less

The initial setup, the setting, the concept, and even the game menu, are extremely fun. This means your first 5 minutes are excellent. Gathering whatever you can in 60 seconds, this is also a fun concept. I work on similar games and I like that. It was great to play it with my 9 year old. And sadly, this exactly expresses the level at which the game keeps its "surprise and drive" to retry: it works only if you have extremely low expectations regarding how "dynamic" your experience will be. If you want something very expected, very repetitive, with mostly the same events in every game, decisions you lack control on, consequences randomly determined, and characters not deep and that you can't really like, it's ok. Otherwise I don't recommend it. Honestly I don't understand very well the hype because of how it really plays out. I can understand how "attractive" the game initially is because of its fun concept, 100 percent. Also we still have a mysterious drive to see if we will succeed. But you would have seen most of what the game gives in the first half hour. Even in a few games, such as three, you'll have the same events several times!! The game really lacks more comprehensive events, mechanics, or interaction. Every day... - "if" you have food and water left, you decide "if" you give food / water (yes/no) and to who, - "if" an event comes, you decide "if" you send someone (yes/no) and who you send - and if no event comes and your people are healthy, you can decide to send someone out And that's about it. giving food, or giving water, event?, sending someone? done. the rest is clicking next day. With a lack of events, a lack of mechanics I would find this proper for a cheaper price than 10 dollars: such as 3 or 4. At this price, you get something nice enough in terms of game duration and experience. I kept the game because my children like the concept! But for a 10 dollars games I feel it's a lot more difficult to recommend. I may still try the other iterations, because marketing+art style are enough to make a sale, so I guess it proves that nowadays only a good intro is enough because it pleases the kids. For myself, giving a good experience to my kids is good enough. But what about all the others? I have really tried to give a honest feedback about it. Thanks for reading!Show moreShow less

60 Seconds Reatomized the upgrade The upgraded version of 60 Seconds, new visuals, new dialogues, and other new features. Gameplay-wise it's still the same, first the scavenging minigame and afterwords choose what to do day after day. Pros: Basic game with lots of new stuff Still multiple things to happen and many outcomes, now upgraded with even more things to happen Cons: Mostly just the same game Doing the same thing over and over, first playing the scavenging minigame in same looking house and after making decisions what you wanna do for the day. Verdict: Honestly not my taste of a game, ...Show moreShow less
