Meh. I was having fun at first, just digging dirt and stuff. As you dig you find ore which you can spend to get upgrades. You can also buy lights for the dark parts and dynamite to blow rock that is too hard for your drill/shovel. I was having a solid 6/10 time until I made it 100 meters deep, at that point having every upgrade possible. Upon reaching the bottom you find a drop down point where you suddenly are thrust from a relaxing grind game to a stealth mission with no clear direction in a dark cavern. You can't drill, cant use your jetpack, can't use lights, can't use dynamite, all of your upgrades are gone for the purpose of the stealth shift. It's a jarring genre shift and it instantly lost my interest after i snuck past the enemy only to find an even bigger chamber with more enemies i needed to sneak past. Overall a mid game thanks to the genre shift..Show moreShow less
Finally, a game that understands my life's purpose: digging a pointless hole. The controls? Flawless. The graphics? Dirt. The story? Existential. The ending? A deeper hole. 10/10 would shovel again.Show moreShow less
A fun cute game completely ruined by its "endgame". An experience all about digging a hole suddenly taking away every tool you have to make a jarring, shoehorned and badly made stealth section work sure was a choice...Show moreShow less
A friend told me there wasn't enough to this game, but it actually goes a lot deeper than he thought....Show moreShow less
Game has good premise but is rather short, would have loved to be able to explore more and have more upgrades. The "endgame" is what threw me off and made me dislike this game, because the whole idea of the game is gone. Without spoiling: The endgame is not about digging, you can't use your tools, you can't use your upgrade and items. 1 wrong move and you are dead.Show moreShow less
Its a game about digging a hole. There is genuinely nothing wrong with it. Its mindless fun and mining. So yeah get it! Anyway, I have to say the following: I am a dwarf and I'm digging a hole Diggy, diggy hole, diggy, diggy holeShow moreShow less
Reviews on Steam and Youtube tricked me into thinking this is a simulator game, something like Powerwash, or the mining aspect of Minecraft. It is not. The whole game consists of a short level that you will beat in an hour or two. And there's surprisingly NOTHING else to it, aside of several achievements that will take about 30 minutes more. This is honestly surprising, as even the most minimalistic simulation games that I've tried (e.g., Tiny Bookshop or VA-11 Hall-A Bartender) offer sooo much more content than this. I feel like this game is some sort of a meme or an in-joke that I don't understand. This isn't to say it's a bad game. However, you should really manage your expectations here.Show moreShow less
Dug the entire yard down to the very end. I cried. wept even. This game was a religious experience. I love hole. I worship hole. hole is love. hole. AmenShow moreShow less
Given the price, it's hard to complain, but there's not a lot there. In my opinion, there should be at least one more tier of upgrades, since you will have everything maxed out well before you find your first platinum or diamonds, so money is not really useful past a certain point. The ending takes away your ability to use the limited tools you have and there's just not much to it. For $5 it's reasonably entertaining, but just know that it's a one and done that will last you an hour or two and the achievements aren't compelling enough to stretch out the gameplay.Show moreShow less
