I never even got to play the game. Every username I tried was rejected as “inappropriate,” including completely harmless names. No explanation was given. After several failed attempts, I was told I had run out of rename tokens. I was then stuck with a name they themselves flagged as inappropriate and was no longer allowed to change it. This made it impossible to proceed and actually play. The entire experience was frustrating, poorly designed, and a total waste of time. The username filter is overly aggressive, offers no transparency, and can completely lock players out of the game. Because of this, I refunded the game. Latest update (21/09/2023) broke the Campaign, which doesn't even work anymore, instead goes into infinite loading It was working fine before the patch. I will remove this review once this has been fixed. EDIT: Temporary fix Before starting a mission go to Options>Graphics>Quality>Texture Resolution>Set it to low Start the mission. Once the loading is finished change back Texture resolution to original settings. Fortunately you don't have to do it between each missions, only if you exit the game.Show moreShow less

If you have a large friendlist on steam don't buy this, your game will crash on startup every time. Apparently this bug has been around since the game released on steam three years ago but activision didn't bother to fix it and keeps selling a broken product... I thought I could finally get rid of battlenet now that the game has a deep discount here, redownloaded 150 GB only to see that the game does not work at all. I tried other crash fixes as well but it only worked when launching it with my other steam account (<200 friendlist). The only possible "workaround" is to block your whole friendlist and then launch the game, yeah no thanks, what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke... family sharing is not available for this game so have to buy it again if you want to try on another steam account. For 4.99 its a no brainer. The campaign is excellent and there are some nice supplementary PvE modes such as spec ops / survival. Despite this game being the root cause of many fundamental issues COD faces nowadays, there is some fun to be had in the somewhat poorly designed Multiplayer. Nowadays expect exploits since they never decoupled the old Warzone from this client (this is also why the game is almost 200gb, it has weapon and operator assets from 2 other games). You can be playing MP and run into people with exploited gear from Vanguard / Cold War era. Also, it doesn't have the new anti-cheat, so hacks are prevalent.Show moreShow less
