Caused motion sickness since there’s a mismatch between the smoothness of looking around and walking around, which is choppy. It’s noticeable when looking down and moving in any direction, or when moving sideways. Opening the bedroom door and looking at the boxes also caused some strange issues where I was rubberbanding around and jumping about half a meter in the direction I was moving.Show moreShow less
You know how some games start out seemingly all cute and fluffy but then the more you play the more you realize it's actually a horror game? This game is basically the opposite. It starts out eerie and unsettilng and you think you might be in for something really scary, but the more you play, the more wholesome it gets. The creatures in this game can be creepy, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take care of them or that you can't bond with them over gourmet dishes. A short but sweet game that presents just the right amount of cozy and just the right amount of spooky as you serve food to the weird and wonderful creatures of the night.Show moreShow less
The concept is great. Even the unsettling elements to simulate the anxiousness of adapting to a new environment was very thoughtful. Oddly enough I wouldn't recommend this to others because it just doesn't have enough substance. It's quite short even for a short narrative game. I tried to stretch it out as much as possible and only got 4hours of gameplay. During gameplay I had sentiment for some of the characters ,but it kinda felt more like a chore to chuck them with brown bags, not a labour of love. :( I think the cooking mechanics got a bit repetitive for me. Ultimately this game is a success, but I think it could use a bit more.Show moreShow less
If someone asks me what I wanted to be when I was a child, I am going to point them towards this game. Living in an eerie wooden cabin in the middle of a fir forest under moonlight, cooking and baking for mystical creatures of the night. Played the demo a few days ago and couldn't resist the atmosphere. It's the 3 am scratchy kitchen-radio vibe while a thunderstorm outside blows twigs against your window. This game is something that feels like being home. A gentle hug of dark coziness. Between the scent of freshly baked cookies and the whispers of the forest, you’ll find that the monsters outside aren't half as frightening as the chaotic world you left behind. Make yourself a cup of tea, get lost in a warm blanket, and let the atmosphere carry you through a stormy night in the woods, full of magical creatures.Show moreShow less
The game itself isn't bad by any means, far from it in fact. It's just that for the asking price of $8 it's just too expensive for what you're getting. I beat the game in a little over 2 hours, and 100% it in just about 3, which isn't really worth the price tag imo. If you really wanna buy the game, I'd say get it for 50% off or lower. I bought the game for 20% and still feel letdown, so I can only imagine buying it at full price.Show moreShow less
One of those games where you beat it and go 'awww it's over?', it was short and sweet, creepy and cozy, the perfect lil gem to tuck into for one evening. I do wish there was more reason to make every recipe, and perhaps more family members, but that's just because I enjoyed it and want more. The atmosphere was nostalgic and supremely comfy.Show moreShow less
It was okay, but nothing special. I enjoyed the puzzles, but the cooking became very tedious very quickly. The cooking minigames are no fun to begin with and are even less fun when you have to repeat them again and again to prepare food. Feels like padding on an already very short game.Show moreShow less
The critters eat, and stuff. And you make what they eat. And sometimes they like it. If they don't like it, you check what they like. Then you feed the critters. And the critters eat.Show moreShow less
it's a great game... but PLEASE stop exporting unity games as IL2CPP. LET US MOD YOUR GAME!!!!! also the look sensitivity is apparently multiplied by the delta time, which makes playing at a higher framerate a little annoying. (mouse moves very slowly until a short bit of lag, in which it moves much more than expected.) they fixed it :3Show moreShow less
