A BIG NO NO. Stick to the original, pray you can still buy it somwhere. This Definitive Edition is Definitive Bullsh*t! I played the original game over 300 hours. I cannot even count how many times I finished it. I know every aspect about the game that there is to know. And here comes the Definitive Edition. Ahhh men.... They fuc*ed up many important aspects that made the first one such a classic. They made everything lighter (as in weight) in this game, so you can kick zombies around like rubber dolls, weapons fly like paper planes when you throw. If you play a character who focus on throwing weapons, well then... you're in for some amazing and exciting adventure called 'Where did my f***ing weapon dropped???!!!' after every zombie encounter, and this game is all about that. There are also many annoying bugs like loot chests dont restock (in the original they did so this IS A BUG) There are many items that dont respawn like they should (for example a car by the bunker on the south end of first map) There are zombies which I call "suprise zombies" that stand in one place facing the wall, when you approach them they suddenly and violently turn around and grab you. NOW in original it works perfectly 99% of times, and can give you a heart attack when you first encounter them... in DEFINITIVE EDITION they work perfectly 0% of times cause every time you approach them... THEY RUN STRAIGHT AHEAD.... YES... they run into a f**king wall (or whatever they are facing) and this is just the tip of the iceberg... if you want to know the whole extent of bugs and glitches then check out this thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/383150/discussions/0/364043054118534910/ Least to say... I installed the original Dead Island and uninstalled this piece of sh*t. Dont support Techland for making such terrible joke of a remaster, they tricked players into buying this and left it unfixed (only ONE UPDATE was provided after release!) If you dont have any means to play the original anymore then you have no choice but to play this... BUT AT LEAST WAIT FOR A DEEP SALE (like at least 75% discount)Show moreShow less
Dead Island walked so Dying Light can run, jump and climb all over the place.Show moreShow less
The game Dead Island can no longer be found in Steam store and online feature is no longer supported then you released another game called Dead Island Definitive Edition to make people who already own Dead Island to pay for the exact same game twice to access online feature again and expect people to give a good review? Fk offShow moreShow less
Once upon a time, a game developer went to a beautiful island resort on vacation. The dev looked at all the white beaches, the bungalows, the sexy young women wearing nearly nothing, and all the people drinking and dancing. Then the dev thought, "What this place needs is zombies. Lots and lots of zombies." And here we are.Show moreShow less
>Made people wait 10 years for a new Dead Island game. >Decided to go to sugar daddy epic to make the game exclusive on their launcher for one year. Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself Deep Silver.Show moreShow less

Ok firstly I LOVED DeepSilver, long time but this DE edition of both games, are so terrible that even the devs wont support it. Many bugs more than even the original, Weapons taken out mods taken out nudity taken out blood changed to chrome color for hopes of passing in other countries DLC ripper is a rip off as the devs wont even comment but fact is, they stole from us and are falsly adverting that this game is complete ripper is not in this game, we paid for it. same with LABS, nothing exists, all containers are empty or just have ammo or money, no weapons. ever. all named guns and most named weapons arent in this DE version and again the devs fail to reply and instead erase hundreds of negative posts on twitter and FB if you owned the original DI and DI riptide STAY FAR AWAY FROM DE go into the forums look at all the bugs and see the lack of devs posting about anything. terrible terrible game this version, I CANNOT recommend it and It will be the last deep silver game I ever buy. and sadly I loved them. Techland is also lacking, fix this or admit it. either way you stole from the community, anyone who finds this not helpful or ranks this review down, is a fan boy or never played this version this game has more bugs even if you dont include the missing dlc. terrible support people. devs and publisher should be ashamed. but arent. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DE and RIPTIDE DE just stick with the original, and skip DI 2, dont support them. EDIT UPDATE READ! the DS devs finally got around to using a fan fix to fix the labs map and to place the proper mods and dlc BACK into the game, this took almost 2 YEARS to do but its fixed mostly my review will reflect when the game launched its not updated, nor will I, no one should go back and rehash every review per patch etc DS is dead .. imoShow moreShow less
The worst kind of achievements are the ones that force you into multiplayer. I DON'T LIKE PEOPLEShow moreShow less
They have released this version of the game with slightly updated graphics (but not in any way improved) then they made this release incompatible with the original Dead Island release. THEN THEY REMOVED THE ORIGINAL VERSION FROM STEAM!!! This was done to FORCE people to re-buy the game to be able to play with anyone that bought this release. The releases are the SAME GAME and no reason at all for incompatibility. This is nothing more than a pure RIP OFF and they should be forced to re-release the original game for purchase as well or at the very least make the 2 releases compatible!!! STEAM has really dropped the ball on this one, the should come down HARD on developers that try to pull this type of crap! DO NOT BUY IT I would really like a developer response to this review but I doubt we will ever see one, they KNOW what they did here was wrong and borderline illegal. They are thieves hiding behind anonymity. Not thieves? Prove me wrong and respond.Show moreShow less
