This is an early technical review of the game: PROS: - Graphic is stunning. High quality and feels next gen - Stable, unlike the buggy mess of Dishonored 2 at launch - Lots of graphic customization options - Textures and details are all very good and on par with a AAA quality PC game - Fully support 21:9 ultrawide monitor & FOV slider - Ray Tracing - No crashes so far CONS: - Micro-stuttering (With unlocked FPS enabled, even at high frame rate like 100fps, it does not feel buttery smooth). TEMPORARY SOLUTION: Go into Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Vertical Sync > On > Apply (Alternatively, you can enable in-game v-sync but it does not mitigate the issue as much as Nvidia Control Panel from my testing). Then, when inside the game, go to Video Settings > Upscaling > AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution 1.0. Then AMD FSR Mode > Ultra Quality or Quality. This will make it buttery smooth, but at the slight expense of graphic quality. Pick your poison. - No DLSS, although AMD's FSR is available (both AMD and Nvidia users can use it) - May need a beefy system to get high fps. I'm getting average 70 - 80fps (with ray tracing) and 90 - 120fps (without ray tracing) on my i9 10900k, RTX 3080, 16gb, 1tb nvme. CONCLUSION: Arkane delayed the launch from May 2021 to September 2021 to give the game more time in the oven and it pays off. Overall, stable and good. Although I was a little disappointed this is not Dishonored 3 or Prey 2, the initial impression is as good as playing any other Arkane Studio's game. Worth checking outShow moreShow less
Game's great just optimized like ....REALLY BAD. Stuttered like crazy on my RTX 3070ti at 1080p even with the latest drivers + RTX off. Seems like an engine problem. Will refund for now and consider it down the line.Show moreShow less
Game is good so far, but the stuttering is completely obnoxious. Thanks to other reviews that were more readily visible last night, these settings helped me massively: Helpful settings Nvidia Reflex - On Low Latency - On V-Sync - Off (enabled in nvidia control panel, however) Upscaling - AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0 AMD FSR Mode - Ultra Quality FPS Limiter - 120 Specs : i7 9700K RTX 2080ti 32GB DDR4 RAM 27" 1440p 144hz G-Sync monitorShow moreShow less

Personal and accordingly uniquely attributable userdata It's possible to disable telemetry? Yes, but users have to take care of it themselves and they should aware that their product works only works half. A forced activation by Denuvo cannot be legally avoided Summary Customers should read the EULA before use/purchase and consider whether they approve of the behavior. Denuvo Anti-Tamper alone can cause consumers to be stuck in front of a black screen and extensive telemetry services are also not really conducive to one's own privacy. Not to forget, without using the mandatory online "service", consumers get only a half working product. P.S. Even though Bethesda no longer uses an actively visible launcher since beginning of 2022, the same connections are still made to their platform services. Nothing really has changed. On the contrary. Through Microsoft's involvement, even more is present now. Especially since Microsoft knows about mostly every game you will start on Windows 11 with their with their Xbox service, even you don't use it (those regularly not to be deactivated callbacks were subsequently included in Windows 11)Show moreShow less
People need to support creativity like this. Otherwise we will forever be stuck in a deathloop of mediocre games.Show moreShow less
Among us Denuvo bad please clap Digital Foundry has a video on performance. The stuttering issue is related to mouse movement and is worse on higher than 60 fps. It is NOT Denuvo related. Actual game review, It's alright, I just wouldn't recommend it to other people, even past performance issues. 7/10Show moreShow less
"The two most powerful warriors are Patience and Time." - Leo Tolstoy I have played this game for 20 hours now, and I have to say that I truly understand why people are upset. It isn't because the game is bad, honestly this game is accomplishing what it sets out to do just perfectly. I will, however, take note of its issues first so I can take the time afterwards to address what makes this game one of the greatest I've ever played. CONS - If your computer cannot handle what Denuvo does to video games, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME!!! Many people have been complaining about stuttering due to the fact that the game SHOULD be running smoothly but Denuvo simultaneously running causes micro stutters, slow downs, and even crashing. HOWEVER! I am running this on an RTX 2060 graphics card with 16 gigs of ram ON A LAPTOP, and I only encountered 1 freeze and 2 crashes in my entire 20 hour playtime. As for microstutters, I honestly didn't notice it. I was seeing frames of about 60-90 on medium and 60-80 on high, and my game felt fine. If you cannot deal with that, then I'm sorry but get this game on Playstation 5 or just wait until they remove Denuvo (which I'm praying will happen if only to see the difference). - This is an Arkane game... That is a fault and a pro at the same time. If you are expecting Deathloop to break the mold and entirely change how Arkane games play and feel, it will simply not happen. If you do not like Arkane games, do not play this game. - The Story. I love the story! I really do. I think it's a lot of fun, but I can acknowledge that it is objectively rather simplistic. There are some twists and turns along the way that I really enjoy but if you expect it to answer all your questions in a totally laid out way, then you won't enjoy it. The game encourages you to make a lot of your own conclusions to understand it as a whole, which I honestly enjoy but I know a lot of people won't. You get an ending that doesn't leave you feeling a sense of conclusiveness, instead the game opts to give you an ending that makes you think "Oh wow. What's next?" If you don't want that, and if you are looking for a story that will give you all the answers and that will allow you to see every possibility in its own consolidated universe, you will not be satisfied. PROS - The Soundtrack. Let me just get this one out of the way real quick, THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE VIDEO GAME SOUNDTRACKS I'VE EVER HEARD! Jesus, I didn't think that Arkane had it in them. Don't get me wrong, I think the songs and orchestrations they used for Prey and Dishonored were pretty good and served the game fine but those are NOTHING compared to this. They create this concoction of big band, jazz, and rock that is just so magnificent that my ears don't want to go back to anything else. They perfectly encapsulate the essence of a 60's concert, with all the soul that comes with it. It's awe inspiring. - Visuals, Aesthetic, Etc. This game looks exactly like how you would expect it to from all that was displayed previously, in the best way possible. You honestly and truly feel like you're trapped in this simultaneously futuristic and antiquated world where they advanced scientifically enough to create machines straight out of a Terminator war zone, while also maintaining the aesthetic of a 60's style spy movie or comic book. It honestly feels like another view of altered history, similar to Fallout 3-4 (except replace the barren wasteland with a loud and vivacious island). The game is stylized enough to make you realize you're playing a unique art piece of a game, while also having these excellent visuals and set pieces that make you feel like you're watching a new limited series by Sci Fi. Needless to say, I love it. - Gameplay. Here's the heavy hitter. This game feels so amazing to play, it honestly gives you the experience of playing as a trained hitman with an arsenal good enough to take on a small army. And in some cases, you probably WILL take on a small army! It's those moments when the game seems to be at its greatest, your health is low, your stealth operation has failed, you have one life left and you're surrounded. This is it. This is your last chance to make the progress you NEED to break the loop and save yourself along with everyone else. Your only way out is to fight with whatever you have. And you here knocking and running, they're coming for you and you're stuck in a tiny corridor. Armed with only a couple of powers and a few weapons, what will you do? Will you take on the Eternalists or die trying with a shotgun, dual wielding smgs, and the power to eat through bullets, blasting through them all as you've made your last stand? Or will you opt for a more silent and deadly approach, teleporting to a chandelier and setting up traps while you link your attackers fates and utilize a silent pistol to take them out with one shot? The choice is yours. I truly appreciate what they did with the power meter as well, choosing to replace the vials of Dishonored with a regenerating power source for your slabs and abilities. That's just a thing that I personally prefer, I don't like feeling like I'm on a limited power source only to hunt around the map looking for more energy once I've run out. Patience and Time: My final thoughts. Okay listen, there is a reason I put that quote at the beginning. It wasn't just to be edgy...maybe a little, but there's a point! In this game the idea of "If at first you don't succeed, die, die again" REALLY hits home. The feeling of failing to do what you set out to do in a certain loop by either dying or just not being able to schedule things out properly is very bittersweet, because you KNOW you can try again and you've learned from this one! With every death, with every loop you learn more. You restart your day stronger, not because of your arsenal but because of the knowledge you've gained within the previous loops. You feel more comfortable sneaking by enemies each time until you reach the point that you're mowing down eternalists, and even Julianas, with total ease. You just need to be patient. The answers on how to move past certain blockades will come in time, and until then? Enjoy the ride. The bullet may be the same, but the kill will ALWAYS be new. I hope you all take on the challenge and break the loop.Show moreShow less
Game stutters and the fixes I have been recommended minimise it but don't eliminate it. Can't recommend it until it is fixed. I have a fairly high end rig as well. Here are some fixes that helped make the game tolerable: Limit your frames to 60 Turn on Vsync in the Nvidia/AMD control panel Turn Nvidia Reflex to On+Boost Turn Low Latency Mode On Turn FSR on if you don't mind the game getting blurry even at Ultra Quality System I'm running the game on: RTX 3080 (Driver: 471.96) Ryzen 7 5800x 16GB 3200MHz Game is on an Nvme Gen4 SSDShow moreShow less
I have no idea how my 1070 managed to get by in this disaster, it seems like everyone had a hard time with it regardless of the gpu, but since this is my review; The game worked completely fine for me. I liked the story, I truly did, but it somehow decided not to shine where it could most shine. The ai is stupid af im sorry. I really had fun with this game but it wasn't really what I expected. If you love Dishonored to the core, give it a try when it's on sale. Overall, I had fun.Show moreShow less
The game is very good, it's fun and had everything to be a great success, but unfortunately because the anti-piracy, the game doesn't work well, even above 100 fps it feels lag, the game stutters, a strange gameplay. Just REMOVE DENUVO and the game will have the deserved success. Unfortunately, they still haven't realized that those who pirate, don't spend money with or without protection, and those who pay like us, have a game with problems. A good game doesn't need protection to sell, just be good, simple as that.Show moreShow less
