It's absolutely insane to me that there are people who complain about this re-release. Not only is it a big accessible package of all things classic Doom, it's free to previous owners AND it's optional. You can rollback to the previous re-release via beta or use dosbox and the wads with sourceports, same as always. You just got more options now, it's literally a win-win. It's awesome that coop and MP can now be played right out of the box. Awesome job to all the teams involved. And congratulations to Andrew Hulshult for having his IDKFA album added to classic Doom officially. It's heartwarming to see how far you've come.Show moreShow less
Doom itself is great, but this version is unplayable on modern computers without looking up instructions, modifying documents, and downloading programs. If you're hoping to just download and play, you will be disappointed.Show moreShow less

"PlayFab account and persistent internet connection required to access certain features and content. Acceptance of End User License Agreement, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy required to play. The DOOM + DOOM II service may be discontinued, and content modified, disabled, suspended or removed, at any time. See Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and additional details at <bethesda link> " Instead of designing your game around reliance on your own services, you 100% had the option to rely on something open and providing tools for community support (It doesn't have to be steam workshop). But no, you decided to lock everything behind your own services so that you can flip the kill switch when you feel is good. Dystopian video game landscapeShow moreShow less

I am a veteran of Doom, i grew up with it and i love it. however something is wrong with the Steam version because the game Freezes and Locks up whenever the Mouse is moved for any reason, forcing me to shutdown the application with task manager.Show moreShow less
