It's crazy fun, but non-stop disconnections and crashes completely ruin it. Also, I have been kicked out of multiple games simply because I was winning. I'll have no problem recommending this game if these issues are fixed. EDIT: This game can be reviewed in 2 words: Host Disconnected.Show moreShow less
For those of you with controllers: Press B to quack. Press Left Trigger to change the pitch of your quack; the more pressure you put on Left Trigger, the higher pitched your quack will be. The more you know. Duck Game is an awesome game where a group of up to 4 ducks are pitted amongst eachother with a plethora of unique weapons. Matches are fast paced, with the only goal being "stay alive longer than your friends". It almost reminds me of a competetive version of Super Crate Box (the gunplay feels similar). If you're looking for a goofy game to play with some of your friends, whether locally or online, pick this game up.Show moreShow less
Why oh why do developers charge so much for average games on Steam? If this game were £5 or less I could recommend it. It's a fun distraction, and it supports multiplayer on a single keyboard, which is sadly rare these days. The weapons and maps are creative and innovative. However you have only to look at the screenshots and videos to see this is just a silly shoot-fest with ducks, it is not a deep game or produced to an extremely high standard of quality or writing, and it is basically just multiplayer. The singleplayer mode is just a series of challenges that are there to get practice for multiplayer arenas. The controls feel really awkward, there is apparently no help or tutorial (no idea how the grappling hook is supposed to work), the UI is awful, it is possible to rebind keys so that they conflict with other keys, and there are no AIs so you are entirely dependant on other people being online or having actual physical humans who can crowd around a keyboard with you. I had to wait about 10 mins for a match and that will only get worse over time. So certainly pick this up in a sale, but I am slightly tired of this Steam Sale Culture which seems to justify overcharging for games just so that people will actually pay the proper price during sale time.Show moreShow less
More addictive than quack cocaine.Show moreShow less
Keyboard player here. I tried this game for more then an hour and had a TERRIBLE experience. Even after rebinding the controls they felt clunky and odd for how fast paced this game is. Makes me wonder if its not meant for keyboards at all because out of the VERY FEW mulitple player games I could find I was utterly slaughtered by controller players. (Only they can pitch their quack, that is how you tell.) After the hour I simply uninstalled and returned it. Maybe this just isn't my game but as someone who LOVES Smash Brothers this seemed like an obvious buy to make. But the controls just didn't seemed to match the game or fairly balanced to a controller.Show moreShow less
The perfect game for when you're quacking open a cold one with the boys.Show moreShow less
If you don't plan on playing with a controller, don't buy this game. Even after rebinding on keyboard, it's unplayable. For me.Show moreShow less
Duck Game is, quite possibly, one of the greatest games of all time. The basis of Duck Game is simple: you spawn into the map at the same time as 1-3 of your close friends, and the lot of you proceed to look for weapons to murder each other with. Once everyone else is dead, you get a point. Once someone gets 10 points, they win the round. It's a really easy game to pick up and play, yet the true entertainment in this game comes from the large variety of possible outcomes on each map. Depending on where players decide to go and which guns they like to use, each map can play out radically differently, resulting in new moments of hilarity in each gameplay session. Just when the base game gets boring, you can then head to the Steam Workshop and download a quackload of mods that give you new maps, new weapons, and new hats. Ever wanted to fight to the death with Danny Devito's beautiful mug in the background? You can. Ever wanted to wield a lightsaber in your feathered fist? You can. With new mods still getting made every week, the possibilities are truly endless. Duck Game is my go-to for laughing with friends and having a good time. I've already sunk nearly 70 hours into the game in the year or so I've owned it and I know it won't be long before I hit the 100 hour mark. Do yourself a favor and pick this game up, grab some friends, and quack it out together.Show moreShow less
If you plan on playing with a keyboard I would not recommend. Controls are clunky and I made a mistake in the control configuration menu that completely broke the game and made it unplayable and unfixable so I had to request a refund. The actual game is incredibly fun, but the UI needs to be fixed. My friend played with a controller and had no problems so thats the way to go if you get this game.Show moreShow less
