A deckbuilding game similar to Luck Be a Landlord but you are controlling evil minions trying to prevent adventurers from taking your treasure. Pros: - Deckbuilding - Fun combinations - Easy to pick up Cons: - Way too easy. It has 20 different difficulty levels and I reached the highest while dying only 5 or so times. You can get a win condition really early on and just lean into it for the entire game. There is an endless mode which gets much more challenging thankfully. - Some of the English translations could use some work. - Balance issues. Some of the units are completely useless and some are very overpowered. - Not a lot of longevity. Between the low difficulty and the lack of content compared to Luck Be a Landlord you won't get a ton of playtime out of this game. I really do recommend this game if you liked Luck Be a Landlord. Despite my gripes it is still very fun, I just wish it presented more of a challenge.Show moreShow less
There is alot of hype around the game and it is pretty neat. BUT it also lacks ALOT of everything from options to explaining certain mechanics or monsters better (or maybe just a translation issue?) and it just feels incomplete - it also says version 0.9 but there is no early access tag. Meta progression is not much there beside unlocking some rings and the meta currency doesnt realy work yet - nothing is explained. For the asked price i can NOT recommend it in its current state.Show moreShow less
This is the hands down best "Luck be a Landlord"-inspired game, and easily rivals the top spot in the slot machine roguelike genre. If you're a fan of the genre, and haven't played this one, stop reading my review and just buy it.Show moreShow less
Why is it trying to access my wi-fi and gps data thoughShow moreShow less
Really well made Luck be a Landlord style game. I actually like it a bit more, the endless isn't actually endless with good scaling and there seems to be more viable ways to get different good builds going. I think it was Retromation I saw playing it.Show moreShow less
I had some fun with this game, but I can't recommend it. The English translation is really awkward. Fair enough. But there are other things that make it really hard to understand how the game works. A lot of basic info can't be found anywhere, a concerning amount of units and items behave incoherently with what the game does tell you, and all the while even the lowest speed setting is so fast that you can't even just be observant and piece everything together. That alone justifies a negative review, I think. Now if you make the effort and try to look deeper, other issues will surface. - Power is unevenly distributed. There's a lot of units and items, but it doesn't really matter, as a lot of them are near useless, others are instant winners, and there's not much in between. The fun in roguelike deckbuilders that comes from working with what you've got and trying to make something coherent out of it is absent in EoD. You just pick some stuff to survive early waves, wait until you find a broken item, and let it do its thing. - On top of that, there's so many items that give added value to one specific rare unit (sometimes making it go from inconsequential to completely broken), and so few that are just decent picks on their own. What if you have the item but don't have the unit, or vice-versa ? The end result is that you don't pick things because it makes sense with your build, you just blindly pick everything that you know might instantly win you the game if you find its synergetic partner. I'm not sure you can even call that strategy. - Might be redundant with the above, but winning strategies are really shallow. Enemy HP scales in a way that you can only win with strong scaling, or abilities that deal %HP damage. So after the initial board-filling phase, you can just hard dismiss everything that isn't that, or utility - again, a useless/broken paradigm. - A lot of superficial ideas. Enemies have abilities, but they're all so anecdotical you don't even have to account for them. A lot of abilities/keywords that aren't fleshed out enough and are just too impractical compared to the strong stuff. An increasing, ascension-like difficulty level where level 20 is actually barely harder than level 0. A recent update that added a game mode that adds a game-changing rule, but barely makes any adjustments, and ultimately feels like an idea that wasn't followed upon. That's what EoD is to me. A collection of many, unevenly refined ideas. As a proof of concept, it would be very convincing, but as a game, it still needs a lot of detail-oriented work.Show moreShow less
Check out our Steam curator , YouTube channel and Twitter! [Anime/Strategy] Time-stealer Landlord-genre game. You must build your deck and their synergies and get an advantage to swipe the foes within the turn limit. Nice pixelart partly cute. The translation on this is unacceptable.Show moreShow less
Everyone who says the translations suck is completely justified, but with that said, if you figure out what's going on, it's a hell of a fun game. I've won with the most wonky builds and love it.Show moreShow less
Really love the premise, but by the end of my first hour with the game I had already beaten it twice (after losing only once - which was my first attempt). I really feel I have seen everything this game has to offer at this point. Additional annoyances include the lack of explanation for stuff, some tooltips get cut off and you can't read them, and that everything happens so quickly it's difficult to ascertain exactly what part of your build is "working" and what isn't. If you liked "Luck be a Landlord", you might like this. If you haven't played Luck be a Landlord, go buy that instead.Show moreShow less
