The first few rooms were a blast, it definitely had an incredible feel even compared to ES 1, some puzzles were just plain sloppy and had solutions be as simple as sequential numbers which actually bummed me out that if i started putting in random sequences, i would have guessed it easily. But the worst part of all is that either the devs, or the art team from the studio is actively lying about the use of AI. if I could, I would refund the game, but I can't. the only conflicting part about this is that ES 1 brought me insane hours of joy, whereas this started a downward slump pretty quickly and all within the first themed run, which is a very short time span.Show moreShow less
Graphics: 10/10 Gameplay: 10/10 Chances of playing with her: 0/10 Make sure you actually have a Player 2 before buying the game for a co-op run. Things didn't work out with her, but at least the game didn't disappoint. Worth every penny.Show moreShow less
I loved the game but its just too short for the price you pay. 3.25 maps that can be finished in 6-7 hours and then Pine studio will make new maps and hide them behind a pay wall.Show moreShow less
Yes. I recommend it. Was it fun? Yes. That said, the final puzzle in the game very nearly has me saying no on this review. It's not a difficult puzzle. It's not an impossible puzzle either. What it is, is a puzzle created for what I reckon only 10 people in the natural world could ever solve. Not because of smarts, intellect, or effort. Not because they found a clue and used deductive reasoning to figure it out. But because they are a subject expect matter on one very, very specific thing. One thing so obscure and irrelevant to the game, that whoever else plays this, is going to feel the same level of disappointment that I feel. I picked up this game to solve puzzles and have a great time with friends while I do it. Building up to this big conlusion, the excitement of waiting for the next patch for it to be released, and finally getting there to... do nothing. Google, I guess. Just, Google. Google what, exactly? Well, not the clue in the puzzle itself. No, just the answer. Good luck. Have fun. Yes for the levels leading up to the conclusion. No for the conclusion. I feel so disappointed.Show moreShow less
Huge fan of the first game, but they missed it on this one I think. Some of these I think they could fix with more work and time to polish the game, but the visual style choices here are just a huge miss and poor decision in comparison with the first game. - Realistic art style is a mistake, as other reviewers have noted. It'll date the game faster and it also just overall looks worse and less unique. - The choice to interrupt gameplay with cutscenes is an awful one in multiplayer play. Don't take control away from the player, it feels bad and frustrating especially if you're in the middle of solving a puzzle. - Having the level just end rather than unlocking the final door and walking through also feels like a mistake. The random cutscene interruption, as above, makes the game feel unpolished and rushed. - The characters in particular look *really* bad, have a complete lack of choice in customization in the current state, and are very awkwardly posed, particularly in the "take a photo" scene at the end. - Game feels alpha/unfinished overall. Game crashed on us in our first play. - Puzzles didn't feel as interesting in the level I played; as other reviewers have noted, it felt like multiple isolated puzzles rather than a larger, interconnected one. I'm hopeful with more time to work on the game some of the above can be fixed, but I don't plan to play this again or encourage friends to buy it until they improve the gameplay.Show moreShow less

Coop mode is unplayable - Puzzles desync between players, so only the host could solve it - I got stuck on the chain while others were able to continue playing the roomShow moreShow less

I still love ES 1 and if you're looking for a great escape game - buy it instead of ES 2. The second one just isn't fun. The puzzles are either way too easy or totally obscure and random. So even after reading the solution I'm lost what the actual explanation for it could be... Rooms like Dracula are so dark I had to crank up the brightness of my screen to the max just for a tiny hop of being able to see something. I gave up on finding the tokens very early on because unlike in the first game, they aren't hidden in cool spots or in a reasonable way but simply in dark corners you click randomly. Some levels actually gave me motion sickness cause the movement is so weird. There's some blatant use of AI without it being mentioned anywhere. I was really looking forward to this game. Played the first levels, waited for updates and fixes and then gave it another try after a couple of months. Unfortunately my first impression still stands. I hope the devs will see this and maybe take a hint that the community doesn't seem to be very happy with the use of AI. The first one is still one of my favourite comfy games by far.Show moreShow less
