This is a fun cute little game to play with friends or a spouse, HOWEVER it has a system where obviously your crops or anything else needs to grow for a set amount of time and watering can reduce that time slightly. This makes the game feel like a mobile game, you log on to harvest, replant, get off and get on the next day. That as the core gameplay doesn't have me coming back anymore. If there were a mechanic where you could say like sleep in the bed of your house to progress time one real life day every season change or something that would actually keep me playing and not treat it like clock work the game would have me playing still. Even if the time reduced to harvest was reduced that would help this game, otherwise its a really nice game.Show moreShow less
Okay after I posted a suggestion and it got put in a week later I promised a review. As you can see I have a few hours on record. Pros -visit otheer players farms and sign guestbooks and help out. -many different homesteads to decorate and enjoy -crops/crops/crops/ and more crops, also trees, trees and more trees oh and least I forget, flowers, flowers, and more flowers. -lively and cute animals to care for. The selection is mammoth! Cows, horses, goats, rabbits, fish, etc! also different breeds of animals. -addictive and fun, no micro transactions! The diamonds scared me when I bought it, but you get diamonds by selling fruits/vegetables. - a pet AND a Farm hand to help you out! -lots of player looks to choose from and great bling for pets and your tractor! -Tractors, multiple types and looks also gas stations keep refilling so if you plan right never out of gas. tractor is 3X3 for uses. - HUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEE farm land, easy to expand and grow. - tons of quests to keep you occupied. - different seasons for different crops, weather effects, like rain helps water crops, snow freezes water so can't water when it snows. Does not snow every winter it's a random event. Seasons last 17 minutes so plenty of time to harvest/plant. -it is out of early access but developers still have big plans including a halloween event this week or next. Cons - hmmmmmm, let's see.... maybe is a little slow to start as you have to manually earn enough tickets to get a gas station for your tractor? Bah even that is pretty quick! So in conclusion, looking for a fun animated, cute farming game that will keep you busy and occupied? This is it! Not to complex but a lot of fun :) If you want come visit Zen Acres, my little garden ares. Hope this helps you decide to buy it, well worth it!Show moreShow less
First of all let me say that I have had many pleasurable hours on this game. Beautiful graphics and I love my farm. Now that I have said that, after over 200 hours of gameplay, I am tapped out.I am giving this a negative review because there are shortcomings that I cannot overlook. 1. I have planted, harvested , bought animals fed animals, bought fish and harvested fish until I cannot do it anymore. 2. I have made over 39 million dollars, yet I cannot use that money for buying farm hands. I must use my very hard to come by ribbons and tickets. 3. the money is used to buy more and more crops and animals and more and more feed. 4. I was so excited to finally get a pet dog, but my excitement was shortlived because you cannot interact with the dog or cat if you choose one. they jusy follow you around. 5. If you show up to another farm, all you do is more of the same aaaarg! and you never see the other farmer, at least I didnt. 6. if another farmer is working on your farm, there is no interaction between the two of you, at least I have not found a way. 7. the farmhands have very limited use and are not worth ther ribbons and tickets you have worked so hard to get. 8. I feel there is a real need for interaction between characters, and to have activities other than the daily grind. 9 . There are other items like buying the homes and decorating the interiors that are fun but limited. 10. I cannot see an end benefit to this game.Show moreShow less
I am an older woman and I am a casual gamer. My son taught me gaming on the PC. I have tried a few other farming games on steam. This one I like the best. I am not into multiplayer games. I love how relaxing this game is for me after a stressful day. I love farming, landscaping, and interior designing. I love doing it alone. The keyboard and the mouse are much better then the gaming controller. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to play a farming game solo.Show moreShow less
My girlfriend and I were looking for a game for this sole purpose. To Farm Together! While the general gameplay feels rewarding and fun, the game seems to be losing momentum with us. However, I feel that the developers Could enhance this game a bit more to motivate us to continue to play. The biggest problem with this game is not the game mechanics, those are fun. The problem is that we don't feel a sense of accomplishment. ---After raising more and more crops, you unlock additional properties to farm, but we don't feel connected to the experience because WHAT HAPPENS when you are making hundreds of thousands each harvest? Do you take that money and improve upon a nice beautiful homestead? where you can upgrade your farm home? No. Is there a mechanic for doing something, ANYTHING other than buying more seeds, not really. Despite some cute aesthetic props you can purchase and plop down, there isn't any reaally rewarding feeling you get from harvesting. Other than buying more expensive seeds and re-planting. There is no overall objective. I just don't understand. am I just to continue buying more expensive crops, for the sake of planting more expensive crops? I really wish I could visit other players farms. Or literally have some sort of NPC town that we could buy stuff in. Do the paved roads and paths do anything beyond aesthetics? No. It would have been cool to see a very minor movement increase while walking on paved surfaces. But more importantly, We don't get why we should continue to plant crops. Is it to earn money? and to do what with? repeat with a differernt crop? There is no Rent to pay, there is no homestead building and upgrading. There is no farm pet, like a dog. I kinda wished this game had more Sims like qualities to it. EDIT: to those suggesting we might start a Real garden, we do! Our home is full of plants and I do gardening regularly myself!Show moreShow less
After playing Farm Together for almost 3,300 hours, I can officially say that its my all time favourite game ever! You can zone out, listen to some music in the background and just play play play. There's so much to do and it fits many different play styles. If you like making things look pretty and aesthetically pleasing then this is the game for you. If you like grinding and spending lots of time working towards a fun achievable and rewarding goal then this is the game for you. If you like making lots of money and doing some fun calculations to see what crop, tree, fish animal and flowers get you the most money, then this is also the game for you. The dev team releases VERY frequent updates and actually listens to what the community wants, bug fixes within hours of the community telling them about said bugs, and they also release fun super cheep dlc packs with LOTS of content while also making sure that dlc is mostly for aesthetics rather than any kind of pay to win content. The art style for the game is simplistic, colourful and friendly. The interface and options menu has lots of neat features. The game doesn't have any set storyline or any finish, but instead lets you chose how you play, what you do and allows for almost endless possibilities! You start out you game with just a few thousand dollars, some fish, crops, trees and flowers, where you go from there is your choice. You can decide to follow quests which earn you ribbons to spend on things like gas stations to fuel a customizable tractor, buildings to speed things up and make life on you farm easier, sprinklers to water crops which will lower the time to take before harvesting them or flowers to earn more money off them. And if you ever get bored of your current farm setup and want to start over but don't want to take the time to make all of you money back then they have an answer for that too! You can recycle your entire farm and start from the beginning while still keeping all of your hard earned money, ribbons, diamonds, tickets, houses and special buildings! I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a peaceful, calming and fun gaming experience where you can literally play for hours alone or with friends! Edit: for people commenting on this review. I am unable to reply to comments, but if you would like me to reply to a comment then please feel free to add me or comment on my profile and i'll happily reply to any comments you have about my review. Edit #2: I would also like to point out, yes, I obviously haven't been actively playing all of my almost 4k hours in game. Many of those hours have been afk over night and a rough estimate of my actual play time would still be approximately 1.5-2k hours.Show moreShow less
The game seems very much like a mobile game for ppl with a limited attention span, everything happens "fast" (a whole season is 17 mins) and feels like a you are just optimising harvesting routs rather than making any actual worth while progression. TLDR - wanted harvest moon, got Farming clickerShow moreShow less

I love games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon so I was hoping to get a fun farming game similar to those. What I got was a glorified phone app that disguises itself as a $20 computer game. Though the seasons of the game cycle every 17 minutes or so, the growing of crops and such are real time based, such as taking 30 minutes to grow peanuts. This would be fun if this game was an app but I don't want to have to log on from my computer 20 times a day just to grow some lettuce for little to no reward. Great concept, maybe not great execution.Show moreShow less
