Lets be Honest this is just Lazy, You release a new game called Farm Together 2 but it should really be called Farm Together Remastered. You just updated the graphics and made it a little more complicated by adding a town in which you will place your storage upgrades. Plants are the same, trees, fish ect... if you played this first one you played this one. I enjoy playing farm together but was really hoping for some better content on this one. I made the review to recommend the game to other interested parties but just know its not really different from the first one.Show moreShow less
This game just went from a positive pre-release to a thumbs down. The devs as of yesterday 30th surprised everyone by suddenly stating the game is now fully released. Comments from other players (myself included) are straight up saying this is is NO way ready to be labeled as a full release. The reply from the devs was "well the game as a lot of content in it." Yes, for pre-release that's true but the first game has considerably more. I'd dare say while this games offers some new experiences those are rather empty. The mine is a nice addition but to be honest it's kind of meh. The town is basically npcs that walk around and offer the same quests with no dialogue and you vendor your goods. As it is the town is more bloat than anything. A town with people where there's no interaction other than basic quests? Why other than it's there to be there. If it's content then it's eye candy content and adds nothing to the experience. The devs then proceed to not only surprise their fans with a sudden "full release" but then say they are going to start work on porting the game to console. This is WAY to early in the game for that sort of thing unless it's just a quick cash grab. Their choices aren't wise and as it stands shaft the players. I'd say buy the first game, it has much more to offer even with no DLC. This game is only half the experience that only offers some slightly better graphics. I'll change my review if they get back on track but this not it, not by a long shot. Last note and by even the devs admission proving this game wasn't ready for release are the character models. They stated in the forums the models were currently very basic place holders because the game is in development. Those models haven't been changed or improved. So by their own unintended admission it shows the game is not deserving of the title "full release".Show moreShow less
Its been 6 years since the first one came out.... I'm still farming alone :( Farm Alone 2 :(Show moreShow less
This could be a "Farm Together Remastered" or a DLC (mechanic wise). This definitely doesn't feel like a sequel - unfortunately. It has less features than farm together, which you could attribute to the fact that it's early access - but you start to wonder: What took them so long to make this game then? And the game's new "town" is nothing to be excited about either, because its literally just to sell stuff and accept quests.Show moreShow less

"Farm Together 2 improves over the original game in every way," You'd think that after making a bold claim like this, the system would actually "improve over the original game"..... Unfortunately, not so much The BIGGEST flaw with this game is the development team behind it and their insistence on this "town" structure that, quite literally, has killed the game itself. Like , it's impossible to actually DO anything because you don't have the DIAMONDS, because you can't create SHOPS that sell them, because the developers want to limit you to JUST ONE . Upgrade, you say? Yeah, been there, done that. STILL not enough diamonds in the shop. The developers have admitted that the entire point of this was to force people to 'go to town', but this is a FARMING game. They've removed the ability for individuals to customize, and build THEIR farms as they see fit , insisting that developers know best . As usual, when developers say this, they don't. I was a HUGE fan of the first, and yes, while this MAY be an EA game, the fact remains that NOTHING is going to actually fix this mess that the developers have created here. It is unreasonable to expect your players to sit there and wait for shops to repopulate continually. This is WHY we created multiple shops!Show moreShow less
With the introduction of new land that can be bought from the town hall and now the mines I realised I had to change my review to everyone should play; veteran and newcomer alike. Finally, they have stopped pasting assets from the old game into this game and are doing some original work. If you want to play with customising your house, don't. The furniture will make your eyes bleed. Honestly when they introduced the ranch furniture, I was wondering if they had hired the Alcoholic from the song 'I'm Going To Hire A Wino To Decorate Our House' to design the decor. Not my cup of tea. Sadly, the quality of furniture design in this game is worse than the first. Maybe that will change as well over time. Buy only if you are NEW to Farm Together or want updated graphics in your game. It's the same game (with a few tweaks), right down to the same music on the piano. Very disappointing for existing players. No wow factor. The same issues with visitation or lack of it since the rewards for visiting another persons farm are apparently not worth the effort for a lot of players who want others to visit but not return the favour. The entire system needed a revamp which it didn't get. Pros: The automation on your tractor. Found out by accident if you hit SHIFT when ploughing it automates . Now if only all those visitors over the years who came, harvested and didn't plough after could find that button... The graphics are lovely. The town is a nice touch and a good way to skip a season without idling on your farm. It removes the need to build stalls on your property. I personally like the terriformer. They gave us big decorative rocks so I built large formations to showcase them. Some thing not available in the first game. A bit expensive diamond wise if your lowering or raising a large area to flatten land. I personally was disappointed to see so much of the original game in Farm Together 2. It still has most of the issues players complained about time and again to the devs from the first Farm Together. If only it had been a little more original and the devs had listened to their player base more. Considering it is early access there is still hope for some suprising and original inclusions in the future. I am looking forward to it. Conclusion: If you've never played buy it now. If your a veteran and haven't decided to get it yet, wait a while and see what else they implement in the next few months.Show moreShow less
Added a few things feature wise, but has way less content than the first one. They randomly decided to release this half finished game out of early access recently to the surprise of many. Do not buy this.Show moreShow less

This is a soft no for me. Barely improves on the original formula. Its pretty much Farm Together 1.25. The biggest change is the tractor being able to plow fields continuously.Show moreShow less
