Overall, it's a game that perfectly encapsulated the Indie horror genre, all in one neat package. The fact that you can go in and play the different FNAF games and experience a whole new story on top of it all is really neat; and getting to do repairs or the dark rooms REALLY bump up the fear factor for someone like me who's claustrophobic and has a fear of the dark/ animitronics/ porcelain dolls. HOWEVER, there's one major oversight to this. I PHYSICALLY can not finish this game. Not because I'm too scared, but because I'm color blind. There are a few puzzles in this game that are based solely on color alone. No symbols or icons to go with them; including for the Dreadbear DLC. I found that finishing these challenges and game modes were straight up impossible for me, and I feel like I wasted money on a game I can't physically finish to completion. So with that, I cannot recommend this game. This game is 2 years old, there's no reason it should have a complex color puzzle with no way for colorblind people to adjust their settings to account for that.Show moreShow less

I impulse bought this game because of the overwhelming positive reviews and because i love horror games. Its the first game i have asked a refund for on steam and it may have been my fault for not doing my homework and learning about the mechanics before buying it, but i always rather not expose myself to spoilers. With that said after playing the game for half and hour i realized this game is not for me, the game works well and its well done but i simply did not enjoy it. My appreciation of horror comes from a immersive narrative in which the atmosphere an the situation lead the scary situations, this game i found it to be a cheap exercise to distract you so it can get a jump scare out of you which in my case it didnt. Animatronics are creepy but i was expecting to explore the fun house and have different encounters with the animatronics within at least a brief story. But i got tired really fast of watching them through the cameras, pushing buttons and watching them pass on the hallways. I wish there was a "not for me" option to review games or a neutral option. Cause the game is not bad, its just not my type of game.Show moreShow less

This game IS worth $30. It is pretty much everything you would expect from the description: the 3 original games, adapted to VR quite well, plus a few other scenarios designed for VR that work... pretty well. Is it scary? Yeah, it's pretty scary. Especially for people who haven't played the original games. But is it as scary as it could be? This is why I'm making this a negative review. There are few other negative reviews and none that point out what I believe to be the main issue: they didn't modify the jump scares for VR. They just made them 3D. What would be scary is turning around to find that huge, looming anamatronic standing over you before it plays the sound and eats your face. What is considerably less scary is being in the middle of something and having the whole environment disappear while the same 3D animation is glued to your face for the third time. Obviously they had to make a choice between changing the core scare, and staying true to the source material, but I personally think VR lends itself to anything that DOESN'T glue itself to the headset. This is my only gripe, and though it doesn't entirely ruin the game, it is something one should consider before purchase.Show moreShow less

Stop looking at bad reviews, this game is scary, but you get used to it. the first day i got it, i was so scared, that i couldn't even open the game, and surprisingly, in only about 8 hours of gameplay, i can do all levels, and when i get jumpscared, my heart skips a beat. i do recommend getting it, just take some time to get used to it. I highly recommend to start off with parts and service, since that's the easiest. only bad thing i can say about this game is how it'll crash sometimes when im about to be jumpscared. but other than that, 9/10 game, get it!Show moreShow less
