I really like this game. Like, a lot. I mean, seriously. I have 3000+ hours in it. I really, REALLY like this game. The reason why I don't recommend it is because of the community. If you like playing public multiplayer, don't bother. 90% of the community is made up of kids from the age of 5-14. Not even joking. It's rare to find a 15+ year old on this game, and even more rare to find a mature one. You could always play singleplayer, but the problem is that singleplayer gets boring quite quickly. Actually, it's pretty hard to find someone who is truely mature in this game and doesn't have anger issues or has a voice which can break a wine glass. Of course, if you don't mind little kiddies, or you are one yourself, go right ahead and buy this game. I'm sure you'll have fun with it, I know I did. But if you want a mature, respectable community? Don't bother. If the community was better, I would totally recommend this game. Nominated for the 2017 Steam Awards for "Haunts My Dreams", since this game certainly does so in more ways than one.Show moreShow less

Garry's mod is one of the best sandbox/community driven games on PC and possible in Gaming. If you are going to buy this, you should buy CS:S with it since many game modes use those textures in it. Sandbox mode is nice, you can do many things in that but many people also love to play on game modes, I would recommend TTT as a nice game mode if you find a good server but the sky is the limit in Gmod gamemodes(actaully it is the engine but eh). There are so many things to be said about this game and this review would go on for pages if you were to explain every single custom gamemode that is on garry's mod and you will get you 10/5/2.5 euro or whatever the price is out of it since there is constantly new content developed on servers. 4/10 I would've rated 10/10 if it wasn't for those kids who upload the EXACT SAME THING on the saves/dupes. I'm talking to you FNAF Fantards. Seriously, this game WAS great until FNAF came out! I remember the days when dupes were something people made for other people to have fun. Now it's just full of FNAF ♥♥♥♥. I really do not reccommend this if you want to play multiplayer. PSA: Garry is planning to incorporate paid mods in his game http://garry.tv/2015/04/24/paying-for-mods/ on top of this he has insulted modders on his twitter, the same people that he owes his success to for making garry's mod so great so not only does he want to profit off of the mods he is already profiting on, but he has the nerve to insult them http://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/33tqr5/according_to_garry_newman_most_of_the_modding/ we as gamers should not stand for this, which is why I'm changing my review from postive to negative UPDATE: Altogh paid mods are gone for now, I fear they will return Garry still showed his true colors by supporting paid mods and insulting modders, if Valve hadn't suspended paid workshop as they have for the time being nothing would change, my review stands Garry is not a friend to gamers and his customersShow moreShow less
