The developers say that they have friendly bots and a campaign on the way. I have full faith in them and cannot wait to see them. This game has great mechanics, and I think solo play with bots will be awesome. However, as a mainly solo player, I cannot recommend this game in its current state. Enemy AI is pretty dumb and if you're solo, you're alone. No friendly AI whatsoever. I will delete this review when those features come out and replace it with a positive one (assuming it isn't ♥♥♥♥), but until then, unless you know you'll be playing with people, this game is NOT worth full price.Show moreShow less

8 years in Early Access and "1.0" is releasing with a campaign that doesn't support friendly AI until a post launch update and also evidently isn't even the full campaign. The lead developer hasn't worked on the game since MicroProse took over and it seems like this release is MicroProse cutting their losses. Played for a few hours and was having a great time with fun people in a full server until a guy came in, started talking about his latest Youtube video, and acted like a giant D-Bag to everybody for _no reason at all_. One guy asked "How do I do _?" and he unironically responded with "Alt+F4". Apparently he was a server admin, because when the map changed he started kicking people for not having microphones ("Hey X, say something if you have a mic... okay, you're gone.") I had a microphone so I wasn't kicked, but that was _super_ F'd up... and _that_ is the last time I play this game. Visited this game's subreddit and apparently that same guy is a Subreddit Moderator and has a Community Manager flair. Hilarious. No wonder nobody sticks around! Community Managers shouldn't be more toxic than the community they manage. I only regret that I can't refund this game because it took me 4 hours of game time to discover this.Show moreShow less

RELEASE DATE: 14 Aug 2018 Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access? “Realistically, 18–24 months, depending on resources and those unforeseen hiccups all independent developers must face.” This game has been in early access for almost 6 years and the game play really hasn't changed much in that time. Most of the updates seem focused gear/guns, not the core game loop. It plays more like a tacticool dress-up game than a tactical shooter. While seemingly impressive when you first boot it up, it doesn't take long before you realise the game play is hollow. I've been jumping in after each new "major" release for years and have finally given up. Wish I hadn't backed this horse. It's going nowhere fast.
