TLDR: The devs abandoned this cash-grab of a game ages ago and slapped a poorly made update on it to look like it was actively in development- only for it to not do anything other than add a map that barely functions. Before you look into putting well-earned money on this game, please make sure you're looking at the helpful reviews, not just the influx of bots giving it positives. -------------------------------- I've had this game for well over two and a half years now, and I have never been so disappointed with a game's development. Many of the positive reviews ack any substance and are normally something along the lines of "xxnsd," "wawdw," and "omg." This game has a real problem with bots in their reviews, and hackers in their servers. Pros: Decent graphics, decent animations, good sound, fun with a premade group. Cons: - No solo gameplay, you need other people to play this - Hackers were very prominent- this was promised to be addressed and fixed, only for it to never get fixed. The private lobbies you make are able to be accessed, not making them private at all. There is still no anti-cheat, even with their promise of it in the "update". If you see anybody with the username "ThePrimeTimeLime," just leave, as that is a hacker. You'll be subjected to harassment, racism, and the likes. The developers do nothing about it, in fact, their discord for this game is a cesspool of bigotry and slurs. There's little to no moderation in the community at all. No matter what time of day, or which dev is online- none of them care to read the chat- whether it be for criticism, questions, or to actually moderate it. Screenshots of their own Discord server: https://gyazo.com/68ee0f5cf4e05d3c6ca831d72ae43947 https://gyazo.com/4b7891b0ee5cb987c47bf9ac6805542f - With the recent update, it's impossible to kick people from the lobby, and if you do manage to somehow kick them they can come right back in. Voting to kick someone easily breaks the lobby and requires everyone, including the hacker, to vote in order to kick them. Once again, they can just return anyways, so there's virtually no point. - This game's new "update" is literally just a map and a skin, btw. - You have car batteries spawning in a map with no car. - The metal scraps you need to get spawn under the snow, impossible to see. - The bush you can wear is still green. There is no reason to be wearing a bright-green bush costume in the snow. - The helicopter glitches out so you cannot fix it half the time, meaning there's no winning. - The new "modes" in the game are literally things that already happen if you play the game. - Camping is easy for the monster to run the time out. - The AI is somehow worse now, mostly broken. - This game's community is dead, and any public lobbies you DO find up are either made by hackers or killed by hackers within minutes, so if you're going to play multiplayer, you're going to want to get in as fast as possible with a pre-made group and start the game quickly before anyone can bust in. - Game has lazy grammatical errors. One being the "Standard" mode in the game being named "Standart" for months before they finally fixed it. - Developers have said nothing about production or development for a whole year. In fact, there still is little to no interaction with the community at all, as they do not care, and they probably only pushed this update out to shut people up about it being a cash grab. Which it still is. They've also gone ghost on social media and discord. It took an over year for an update to come out, and this game has gone- and will continue to go- absolutely nowhere. If I could get a refund, I would rather use that $9 to go onto the Walmart website, find the Himalayan table and cooking salt fine crystals (6oz), buy 3 of those, and then proceed to pour those crystals into my eyes. As somebody who bought this game at full price when it first came out, it wasn't worth it then, and even with the price drop, it isn't worth it now. If this game was bumped down to $5, maybe I'd say it was worth the price, given the lack of content, rampant bugs, and lack of playerbase, but this game is a cash grab under the guise of a flimsy, barely constructed update. if you're going to wait a whole year to release an update for a game, work out the problems instead of slapping a new map on top of all the problems and trying to make it look like you did so much when you did a UI change and gave a name for some "modes" that were already in the game. Go play Lethal Company.Show moreShow less

Don't buy this game. Here's why. In Silence had so much potential, but now it has been abandoned by the game devs and the game is full of hackers. The devs haven't been active since December 2020 as of writing this review. No updates on social media, Steam discussions, or any other platform. This was an obvious cash-grab scheme, and what's bad is that what they're doing is working. Doing some digging, they went under another developer name back in 2018 labeled MC Games that released a survival horror multiplayer game that's JUST like In Silence titled The Goatman. That game hasn't been updated and has been abandoned just like this game. They take the money they get from their games, never update them, change their name and make a new game JUST like the ones they abandoned so they can get more money and run. It probably won't be long until they release another survival horror game that they'll neglect and abandon under another developer name. Do your research on the developers before you buy any survival horror game to play with your friends. They just might be these guys looking to get more money. Some better horror multiplayer games are out there, like Phasmophobia & Pacify. They are just a few of these games that keep getting updated to this day, no matter how old or dated they may be, the developers of those games still care for them unlike Ravenhood Games/MC Games. TL;DR - Ravenhood Games shouldn't be trusted at all. They really are In Silence. EDIT: Devs showed a preview of a future Winter Update sometime in the future. They said that they are "a small team" with their first successful game. I'm not changing this review until legitimate changes have been implemented.Show moreShow less

First review ever, so oh lawd where to begin. 1. Monster can see far better than advertised, and after being caught numerous times after a flashbang I asked how. The answer? Gamma and brightness settings affect the clarity/distance monster can see, effectively giving them a far better sight picture. 2. Salty teammates who get got in the beginning of the game running around as rats, and squeaking your position. 3. Camping of only means to escape and or armory. Sure we could argue git gud, but see reason number 1 why that isn't an effective strategy. 4. Monster can read in game text. I play with mic always on for the spooks, but it gets less spooky and more cooky when the monster can read in game chat. I am sure there is a reason for it, but with everything else making noise I fail to understand why. 5. Not a clear and defined reason for noise meter when going against a player controlled monster. AI monster functions how I would expect: a silent, stalking, predator who relies on echo location. 6. Name is displayed when using in game chat. Sure, I get wanting to know whom you are speaking to, but from the monsters standpoint, they automatically know you are within twenty feet of them. 7. Flashbang effect is far too short. I can still see a survivor running away in a direction before I am done being affected by the "flashbang". 8. Names displayed as cursor/player looks around as killer. Far too often have I found, and been found by otherwise just doing a quick ADHD 360 no scope Valorant COD, and found someone just by their name displayed and also a big prompt that says [F] to kill. I wish this game success, but as it stands the glaring issues I defined are already attributed to others, and myself, by finding glaring weaknesses and cheeses to ruin other peoples game play.Show moreShow less

This game has been left by the devs for months and has been untouched. When I contacted a Dev to ask why he simply said "If you dont like it then return it." Sad to see a good idea go to waste. Hopefully I get my refund and maybe if they make up their minds ill play it again.Show moreShow less
