I really wish I could have liked this game, I enjoyed the demo a lot. But the full game just simply falls short for it to fulfil the same feeling for it's price point in my opinion. It is closer to a mobile game that would cost around 2-3$ maximum than a game worth 15$ In short, if you like small puzzle games that are not complicated and does have a cute aesthetic this game could be right up your alley, but I would suggest for it to go on a big sale before buying if you really want your money's worth.Show moreShow less
It's a good game, but I fundamentally disagree with the notion that people who play loud music on public transport should be accommodated. They should be kicked out and made to walk ten miles away from their destination, THEN walk to their destination.Show moreShow less
Is This Seat Taken? is a pretty fun puzzle game, very stylish, and a delightfully satisfying premise... so why do I not recommend this game? Simple, really: it wasn't worth the $9.99 price point for me. Although some of the rounds are trickier than others, if you're like me, many of the levels you'll be able to problem-solve through trial and error within a few minutes. That in mind... with ALL of the bonus levels/content, there are just 32 levels. 32 levels! There are plenty of puzzle games out there around the same price point that have way more than 32 levels. I'm not saying quantity over quality, or that the puzzles themselves weren't tricky enough (I thought the difficulty was just right!), but the total amount of content here left me feeling underwhelmed. I hesitate and dislike dunking on independent game devs and smaller game dev teams because I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into making a quality game. I love seeing smaller teams succeed and this IS a quality game! However, I would only recommend it when there's a major sale. I would easily recommend it if the base price was closer to $4/$5/$6 or if there were more levels. (Or maybe a more satisfying conclusion? The narrative was chugging along nice enough, and then the end felt like 'Oh, well I guess we're done now'.) As-is, while I had fun, I was left wishing there was a bit more and would not recommend spending $10 on this game unless/until more is added to the game. :/Show moreShow less
The game concept is amazing and well fleshed out. My only complaint is in the London level all the cars are driving on the right, it ain't right!Show moreShow less

🔹 EXPECTATIONS: a cute and funny logic game. 🔹 REALITY: a cute logic game with zero challenge. 🔶 Is this seat taken? (ITST?) is a logic game about arranging anthropomorphic shapes according to their needs/requests. One might be noisy, another needs silence, so don't put them together. The plot follows Nat starting her acting career, and serves as a link for the setting of levels. 🔸 The game is structured around 5 cities, 4 unique and 1 repeat, but they only affect the backstory and aren't really represented visually in the levels. Each city has 5-6 levels/scenarios, plus one extra unlockable, that are quite varied in general, from a bus to a cinema, a concert or a classroom. 🔸 Each level consists on 4-5 rounds of arranging 'people', with some shapes remaining in the level, while others leave for new ones to arrive. Once everyone is sitting (also standing or laying down), the game will lets us know if someone is unhappy, but it also lets us ignore that and move on. 🔸 The difficulty is low but the worst is that its curve is flat. I expected a challenge or a twist in the game mechanics at some point, but it never came. The way you solve levels at the beginning is the same as at the end, the only difference is the shapes' requests depending on the setting. 🔸 ITST? is beautiful, fun and better played casually. It's a puzzle game for non-puzzle players: those inexperienced, wanting to be initiated or seeking to spend some time on a game that doesn't demand too much thinking. POSITIVES: 🙂+ 😄+ art 😍+ NEGATIVES: 🙁- 😠- 😡- difficulty For more puzzle game reviews, news and everything puzzle-related, follow Puzzle Lovers and check out our Steam group.Show moreShow less
The things you need to know before buying : - There are only 5 areas. - There are 6 levels per area. - Levels are very repetitive. The reason why I "played" 13 hours is because I kept forgetting about the game, anything would distract me from it because of how repetitive it is. Added to those issues, there is no save when you're in the middle of a level (each level is divided in 4 parts), so if you stop the game at the 3rd part, you'll have to play again from the beginning. Regarding the story, it's certainly not rich, though it can be entertaining to learn more about some of the characters over time. In conclusion : Buy it on sale and hope for an update.Show moreShow less
It's good but I have a pretty big critique : The lack of a "remove all" button. Sometimes it's easier to solve a puzzle without slotting things into place, so when you're not able to remove all characters easily it becomes frustrating (especially in later levels when you have a lot of characters to keep track of). Plus having "restart" set you back to the very beginning of each level instead of the start of the stage you're in is very disheartening.Show moreShow less
It's hard to give this game a negative review. The game is extremely polished, the art style is charming, and the idea is super unique — I can tell the developers really cared and put effort to ship something complete. If I had to be honest though, I left the experience quite disappointed, and if someone asked, I could not recommend it. The game is extremely easy — having most of the characters restrictions telegraphed visually makes it feel more like mindlessly matching shapes to holes (heh) rather than solving a puzzle. New mechanics have a minor impact and are introduced so gradually that the levels felt mindlessly repetitive. I found myself rushing to complete them as quickly as possible to get to something interesting — some kind of "oh, I'm going to have to change the way I think about things" — but those moments rarely arrived and were nearly inconsequential. I liked that they were able to weave in some story, but it was so blandly wholesome that I never felt connected with it. I think the concept is great and the polish is good, it would just be nice to have either story or depth, especially if it's advertised as a puzzle game. If you want a relaxing game with slight puzzle theming, this is more in that realm. Either way, I feel like this was more of a $3 game than a $10 game.Show moreShow less
