Why does the AI kill you so fast even when your geared and it takes u so long to kill them. AI with 9mm doing so much damage this needs fixing. Just found something new the ai can see and shoot through walls nowShow moreShow less
In regard to the game itself: If you enjoy playing an isometric perspective and enjoy gameplay based around scavenging, exploration, and weapon customization, go for it! There's plenty to do and I'm not even halfway through the currently available maps. There's tons of weapon variety and each weapon has like 11 or 12 potential parts to be swapped out to preference. The game also gets updated regularly and is steadily growing. In regard to the early access development: I encountered a pretty big bug that resulted in a weapon I'd spent a lot of time collecting attachments for being stuck as a UI element that couldn't be interacted with. Luckily, I had the wherewithal to grab a backup of my save off the Steam Cloud before closing the game. I went to the Discord to report the bug and upload my log, and the Dev responded immediately. He pushed out a fix very quickly and even offered to drop me the weapon I'd lost to make things right. Thankfully I had the backup save and was able to, with his help, transfer the weapon from my backup to my current save so I wouldn't lose any progress. The Dev, Sean_G, went above and beyond my expectations and I figure leaving a positive review was the least I could do. I know these early access indie games can make potential players a bit nervous about taking the leap, so I'd like to assure you that this is one of the good ones. I play a lot of early access games and bugs happen, its just the way of things, but usually the most you can expect from development is a nod of acknowledgement towards the existence of the bug and an apology for the inconvenience. Developers who actually put the effort into making things right are a rare breed and deserve all the support we can give them. Gameplay is good. Developer is good. So yeah, its good and worth a purchase.Show moreShow less
The game has potential, but the bar for entry is annoyingly high. First: don't bother with this game if you're a single player, this game is tailor-made for people who run in groups. You will get swarmed immediately even on the 'easy' levels. Second: I was willing to let the Hunger/Thirst meter nonsense slide (It's a cr*p mechanic used as a crutch by hack devs to add a fake sense of urgency. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) but your character can't last 5 minutes without food and drink... Literally, each round is like 5 minutes, and in my playthroughs that meter was draining quicker than battery in night 7 fnaf, Third: BLEED FOLLOWS YOU OUT OF THE LEVEL!!! Yes, if you get the bleed status (which if you ever get shot ever you will) and you leave the level via extraction or death, you will still bleed in the hub and any subsequent matches you play. There is a medbay but I can't find the mats needed to build it, and I have no idea if it will fix the issue in the first place. These glaring issues make the game unplayable as a new player, which sucks because the idea of a pixel looter shooter with the level of gun customization shown in the trailer is a super cool idea, it's just executed so poorly here. It's not 'refund the game' bad, it's 'I hope WeMod makes a trainer to fix these issues' levels of bad.Show moreShow less
Last Group Out initially looked like a cheap, poorly made game that poorly attempts to mimic Escape from Tarkov which had somewhat already been achieved by ZERO Sievert, which in itself is an outstanding game - however with recent updates confirming controller and steam deck support, I wanted to see how well Last Group Out stacked up as a top down extraction shooter. I am absolutely blown away at how incredibly well Last Group Out has scratched the itch I was not even aware that I had. The intensity of hardcore gameplay and weapon customisation is unmatched, closely resembling the anxiety and reward of Escape from Tarkov, albeit arguably much more casual. As someone who has transitioned away from the PC after having a child, the compatibility with the steam deck means I can still enjoy a casual yet hardcore EFT like experience at the end of the night - so I could not recommend this enough. The lack of lore or story behind the world, the traders or sense of purpose in completing quest is something I hope can be changed, but the gameplay is superb regardless. Quest are challenging but achievable, gunplay feels sharp and enemy AI are ruthless once they get a lock on your position. Boss fights in the early game provide some great gear if defeated and allow you to play more aggressively against raiders whom drop some powerful weapons and robust armour to further push your runs into more fights and explore deeper into much more difficult maps. Most importantly it appears the developer is constantly listening to the LGO community and making strides to provide the best possible game play for us all the enjoy. It is a shame that the game isn’t more widely spoken about or played by streamers with walk-throughs and quest - hopefully a well known streamer decides to give this fantastic game a go and help grow a community. This is without a doubt one of my favourite games - especially because of it’s compatibility with the steam deck, allowing time poor gamers opportunity to get in, shoot em up and extract with new gear for your arsenal. Can’t wait to see where Last Group Out goes with future updates.Show moreShow less
Annoying and awkward combat, came in expecting a gunfight, instead, NPCs hug you and rush you firing point-blank without a shred of illusion of sense of self-preservation like a guided missile, immersion-breaking, illogical, stupid and just garbage experience.Show moreShow less
This is a beautiful game. Casual enough to be accessible to anyone and everyone, but challenging enough to be a lot of fun. The multiplayer is UNMATCHED, and the dev is beyond dedicated -- No bug goes unsquashed and no player requests go unheard. 10/10 would recommend for unique, refreshing gameplay and a vibrant player community. 💖 🪳and 11/10 for the easter eggsShow moreShow less
I wanted to enjoy this game. I spent 30 minutes slowly gearing up, feeling a lot more confident despite early deaths being quick and fruitless, loaded into a raid with my good gear, dumped 12 shotgun rounds into a dude with a good rig setup but only a Makarov before he finally alerted to my existence as I was in stealth. he turned around and shot me 3 times. I had the highest level plates available at that level. My 13th shotgun shell blew his head off and killed him. I then bled to death because his 9x19 peashooter had caused bleed on a different limb for every shot and ignored my armor. i went from 1000 hp to 642 to dead in two seconds. nope. no thanks, I'm done. I'm fine with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insta kills to degree. I'm fine with intelligent enemies who pinpoint gunfire for opportunistic kills. I'm fine with punishing injury mechanics. but when I mag dump two pistol mags into a naked guy and he lives just fine but i take 3 to the leg and bleed out in 2 seconds? Oh yeah and there's hunger and thirst. raids last 5 minutes and auto extract you. this should mean these mechanics are unnecessary right? well too bad, have them poorly shoehorned into to fulfill the "Tarkov quota", as you die of thirst in exactly 2 minutes. meaning you must either have purified water on you like a rich ♥♥♥♥♥ or get yourself killed looking for oranges and milk cartons in the garbage a minute from extract Every map spawns no less than 50 enemies. None of which fight each other from my experience. This game is trying to be "super cool hard" and just ends up being annoyingly boring because anything fun gets you killed. so spawn in, loot the nearest room, corner camp as you wait for five minutes, and pray that you can kill any npcs that randomly wander into your chosen hovel before they get a shot off, otherwise you will be rushed by no less than 10 heavily armed gopniks for the sin of getting into a fight you did not want. I'm not asking for the ability to goomba stomp every enemy I see, but getting my feet in the door before they're slammed with a sledgehammer would be nice. There's no degree of risk vs reward choice, like in Tarkov, and in fact most extraction shooters. A predetermined time for extract makes this feel less like surviving a hostile environment and more like choosing between a horrendously unpleasant time trial bullet hell or a sitting in a corner simulator.Show moreShow less
Its tarkov, only no cheaters, bugs, or scummy devs, oh and also a very pleasant top down pixel art style that i really like.Show moreShow less
Pros: 1. excellent hardcore elements 2. all loot is available to get, no level/progress locking 3. co op is nice, suffer with friends cons: 1. lack of ability to look around distance (when you lose everything and stuck with a knife you cant look far at all and their for AI can easily out spot you) 2. AI are very aggressive they push hard and tend to not leave room for combat, their aim is precise and will mag dump you before you can drop them. (only way around this is a sniper rifle everything else is irrelevant) 3. lacks any starter gear post death, starter kits like a pistol would be nice and balanced. 4. stealth system could use tweaking, AI are persistent and will not give up chase. 5. no beginners tutorial 6. hunger/thirst drain too fast for some average game play - leads to being micro managed too much.Show moreShow less
