In general this is a fun and well done Lego game. However the PC version is still very buggy. Playing multiplayer seems to really bring it out. My daughter and I can't get more than about 30 min of play before it locks up or crashes. Hopefully it gets some of the normal TT game love and these issues get resolved sooner rather than later.Show moreShow less

Full of bugs. The QA department apparently has been on vacation in the weeks prior to the release. Cannot change video settings, black screens during game play,... This can't be real. Fix this game asap.Show moreShow less

This is such a difficult review to write. Simply because I have never hated a game so much and at the same time loved it the same. I would say it is because of how disappointed it makes you. The Lego games themselves are brilliant. I grew up playing with legos, and being able to play in that world in video games is amazing. But the execution of the game mechanics is where it fails completely. This review is written in December of 2018 and most of the problems with the game at launch, still exist this long into the games life cycle. The game itself is awesome. It is like GTA in Lego Land. It is a vast open world. But constantly throughtout the gameplay, the camera gets locked into a forced perspective and you have no choice in the matter. It ruins certain segments. Game mechanics like the Rocket Boost and Chicken Flight have to be redone multiple times because of problems with camera angle. The driving mechanics are completely horrendous. The mini-games with RC cars are downright infuriating because of controls and camera perspective. The game regularly crashes. There was a game-breaking bug at the start of the 3rd mission where the game just froze. I had to backup the game files, uninstall the game, reinstall the game, re-load the backup files and luckily that worked. But the majority of people even this didn't work and you had to find a save file from someone else to load that was past that point. The game regularly drops in framerate, especially during the Police Chase car missions. I could go on and on with even more issues, but I think you are starting to get the point. All that being said, I still spent 60+ hours in the game and 100% it. That is why this review is so complicated. The idea of an open world in Lego and the story not being tied to either super heros or a movie franchise made this a totally new realm/concept that was interesting. In theory and practice it works. The world is excellent. Multiple different locations and tons of places to go and things to do. But they delivered a completely broken game mechanically. They launched a technically broken game, and to this day, it still suffers. The game runs fine for a while, you start enjoying yourself and finding some cool collectibles and then run into a problem in a mission. Game crashes. Reload and things are going good again. Then control issue in a mission frustrates you. Move on to another mission and get stuck because you missed something earlier on and have to backtrack. Rinse Repeat. The game is just good enough to keep sucking you back in and then it finds a way to disappoint you or piss you off. I have never played a game that seemed to be trying so hard to make you stop playing it. On the idea alone I would give this a 10 out of 10, but in execution I have to give it a 5 out of 10. There is so much wrong with the game that most people would just give up on it. I cannot recommend this game unless you REALLY have patience to look past all its faults.Show moreShow less

Even worse than Mafia 3 at launch. Bugs over bugs, display resolution wont change (just a black screen) - and if it changes back after a while, the screen is bugged af (see screenshot on my profile) - seems like they did their bug testing pretty well, just like Ubisoft do. But hey, for sure, our biggest problem is that we cant proper Alt+Tab. Thank you Chris! http://steamcommunity.com/app/578330/discussions/0/135513534851287309/ Wouldn't recommend for now (still dont really recommend Mafia 3 tho) but let's wait for the patches. Maybe it will be playable at some time. It's a nice game (on the Wii U), but very bad ported.Show moreShow less
