Cool concept but this game needs way more content to justify $10 at the moment.Show moreShow less
I got 19 Suns and 1 flower on a spin, made 19 trillion coins. Next spin, I got 20 Suns and made 144 coins. 10/10Show moreShow less
I wish Steam would give us the neutral option. I like the game, its fun and sort of mindless. There's a lot of symbols and potential for builds to give it variety. There's a huge issue though, there's probably 2 viable builds which wins the majority of the time to the point its hard to turn down those icons as a choice. This leads you to making the same or similar builds every game or losing. Either a fruit build or a mineral build seems to win or get to late game every single time, there's a lot of different options and a really simple way of scaling things like the pear or amethyst. Or getting a Chef/Mrs Fruit or Geologist/Miner to really scale fast. The other choices just arent that reliable. You have the animals which don't scale very well at all. You have the diver who doesnt have a way to get multiple scalings per turn like the seed does. You have the monkey who leaves bad slots behind. There isn't enough scaling to lean into the suits. I'm not saying these builds CAN'T be done, they can with a lot of decent RNG and I've had great fun making broken cat/cow/wildcard builds with golden arrows. Thing is, there's just simply not enough variety to reliably pick that to lean into. I'm relying on like 3 icons showing up and a very rare ability, if i lean into fruit i have about 5 icons that i can get, some icons turn into other icons, about 8 or 9 abilities. Its too heavily weighted towards these builds. The balance is bad imho, to the point it makes the game come down to "what did you get first? Minerals or fruit?".Show moreShow less
You can get a Guillotine and use it to kill Billionaires in your deck. This game is an absolute must have. Don't sleep on this - guillotine some billionaires (in-game) today!Show moreShow less
******************** EDIT: I will say this game is a not a bad way to kill 30ish minutes at a time, if you're just waiting for something else to start. However, I'm still not convinced this game is worth $10 in its current state. ******************** I want to recommend this game - it has a pretty satisfying gameplay loop that makes you excited to hit the Spin button every time, but there just isn't enough depth to it to be worth $10. I feel like after playing for 45 minutes I've already experienced pretty much everything it has to offer; while I might not have seen every single symbol or item upgrade, I can't imagine any of the few I haven't seen would significantly change how the game plays: -Press spin -Pray whatever meta-scaling plan you have in place goes off -Pray for the option to add an actually useful symbol to your set -Pray that the item you receive after paying rent jives with your current symbols -Repeat That said, the first 30 minutes of learning how the game worked was pretty fun! Unfortunately, by actually learning how the game worked, the fun was largely sapped away.Show moreShow less

Luck Be a Landlord is fun up front, but it gets pretty boring later on. You'll quickly run through the various combinations, realize what paths are better (generally speaking) than other, and then realize that the game is just a little bit too reliant on RNG without a lot of player agency to affect it. The lack of interaction points leads to a lack of replayability, and sadly the modding tools don't seem to be well supported with the documentation needed to put out good mods, so we can't really do much about increasing variety to help work around that problem a little. Is it bad? No, it's a fun little game to kill some time, but get it on sale, and don't expect it to be good for much more than a few hours of play unless your gaming tastes are very simple.Show moreShow less

There were far fewer symbols and items in the demo, which sounds like a bad thing but in reality you had a better chance there of building proper combos and strategies. With the addition of more symbols and items in the full game you can throw all strategy out of the window because you'll never end up with the chance to choose anything that synergises. TLDR: The demo was fun and you felt like you had some control over what you were building towards, this is a completely random unfun mess. It's early access and may change, yes, but I regret purchasing this early.Show moreShow less
