A lot of indie titles do this - you have an initial tiny game that becomes a hit and you feel compelled to make a sequel that needs to grander in scale. In some aspects, this works. The game looks and sounds really lovely, with a great atmosphere. In other places, not so much. The writing feels less focused and more muddied, somewhat coming across like its using mental illness for aesthetic purposes Honestly though, the reason I'm giving this a negative review and dropped the game is because it's missing a fair number of standard visual novel features. For example, there's only one save file and you cannot skip text you've already. Since this is a game that has multiple endings and encourages you to replay to see different choices, it ends up a slow and tedious experience. I realized on a repeat playthrough that I was seemingly going down the same route again (or maybe it changes later on, I don't know) and I just kinda couldn't be bothered restarting, watching the same animations, reading the same stuff againShow moreShow less

I hate to be that guy with a negative review when this game received so many positive reviews but here goes. I played through the game twice and it took me 45 minutes. Very short. The art i admit s beautiful. As someone that has had real psychosis episodes in the past and has been on medications, the writing and the overall story may be similar to others experiences but it certainly didn't effect me or was accurate in my experiences in any way whatsoever. The jibberish sound when the text is writing constantly was so bad I had to turn my headphones off. $12 Canadian for a 20 minute beautiful visual novel. Come on now... Most of the endings are similar and with the same choices over and over again. Its not like the story even branches out in different ways. There is literally 25 minutes of content. Amazing how this won over so many people. There are a plethora of better "mental psychosis" games out there to choose from in the horror genre.Show moreShow less

Personally, I liked the first game but I think this one suffered in a few ways that the first one didn't. The pacing in this one was particularly slow, and I found myself getting a bit bored and quickly glossing over some of the dialogue. I also don't like how we switched entirely to an outside perspective for the visuals - I thought the first game was particularly interesting cause we predominantly got to experience life through the protagonist's eyes; it felt more immersive for that reason. I also didn't find this game nearly as creepy as the first one, which may be due to the lessened immersion. So if you enjoy these types of games as "psychological horror" games, I think this one misses the mark a bit. Lastly, this game only offered about an hour of gameplay and that was with me replaying it to see other dialogue options. So I think the price is a bit steep considering the amount of gameplay. I am sure plenty of people would enjoy this but for these flaws I would not recommend it.Show moreShow less
