They *ALMOST* nailed it - but dropped the ball on obvious features that hurt more the longer you play it. - Can't "Line up and wait" for a runway ? - Can't 'Inventory' my waypoints/holding-patterns ? Why do I *HAVE* to place them? - All airplanes are the same exact speed, altitude, and maneuverability ? So close.Show moreShow less
It fills the best kind of gaming niche spectacular even from the demo. Instant purchase Imo.Show moreShow less
Its fun .... for a while. its nicely executed, UI is mostly smooth, game mechanics are mostly obvious and the music is very nice. Community maps are great and add flavour. The problem is that no matter how well you play, you will eventually get smashed. Even when your experience grows, you reach a point where the volume of aircraft overwhelms the airspace and that is game over. Ok its a game, there has to be a challenge, but after a while you know this is coming and its just repetative mechanics until death... so you get discouraged from the start and lose the will to play more. If you are prepared to sink some money to get a few hours of good game play then do it, it is nice. If you are looking for a game that offers a long play life, this aint it.Show moreShow less
Fun little game in general. Improvements I would like to see: Gameplay: - More elaborate emergencies - Optional togglable difficulty increments like fuel, wind, landing/takeoff distance, (minimal) speed - More ahead of time planning tools (e.g. markers, zones) - More events: the ones listed on the game page are not just examples, they're all events in the game - Mods 🥰 UI: - All aircraft to have call signs, not just VIP flights - Hotkey to lockstep headings - Heading to be shown in the UI, both for selected and unselected aircraft Game mode: - Mode between sandbox and regular/hardcore where you can use all planning tools, but not the aircraft arrival and departure rates NB: Seems to be a different developer and publisher than mini metro and mini motorways!Show moreShow less
If you are buying this because you loved Mini Motorways: don't. What I loved about Mini Motorways was the satisfaction you got by seeing everything going smoothly. You needed to strategically position everything, and it payed off. In Mini Airways, you are constantly giving directions to the planes, while the upgrades kinda help you automate it. But still requires a lot of interaction.Show moreShow less
For a mini game about ATC, this is pretty good and realistic. I'm a pilot, so while not an ATC, I do interact with them regularly and was surprised by the mechanics of this. Don't get me wrong, it's still a mini game, and as such is very arcade-y, but it 100% scratches that ATC simulator itch. and it is very addicting. Pros: - The most addicting and realistic MINI game to date. - Very easy and simplistic UI makes the game easy to get into - Manual in the menu that easily explains the mechanics that non aviation people may struggle to understand. - Lots of automation potential - Lots of unique real world airports and airspaces that are realistic. - Inclusion of runway closures, aircraft emergencies, random go arounds, special use airspace, parallel runway operations, holding procedures, and the ability to customize and build your own approach and departure procedures are what really makes this game shine. - Color coding that helps quickly identify and sort aircraft for an easier and less autisitic experience compared to more realistic and traditional ATC sims. - Lots of warning and audio cues to alert you to traffic conflicts if planes are on a collision course. - Good audio options for having an actual controller automated voice or the more traditional silence with games like mini metro. Cons: - No option to store upgrades like waypoints for later use. - As of right now, no wind. Nothing stopping you from using one runway over another or two ends of the same runway at the same time. This is something I would like to see added to the game. DEVS! please add wind that will randomly change directions and force you to use one runway over another, and even shift runways mid run. - Aircraft are homogenous. They all fly at the same speed and altitude. not a terrible thing as a MINI game, but as an ATC game it would be nice to at least have speed control or aircraft of varying speeds.Show moreShow less
This game was not made by the same developers as mini metro and mini motorways. This game is named to bank on the fame of those two games and this is even more clear by the style of graphics and interface, but do not expect the same level of polish and attention to detail. The interaction and mechanics are so bad i found it frustrating to play.Show moreShow less

DO NOT BUY!!! This game is a rip off of another series of games. Click bait stealing the name of Mini Motorways and Mini Metro. Not only stealing the name sake but the game play, game menus, game mechanics, game design. Intellectual theft to ride the coat tails of a hard working developer group to make money. Steam will end up taking this game down once Dinosaur Polo Club files a complaint. Disgusting...Show moreShow less
