I want a version of this where it's World War Two and you're tasked with delivering supplies, soldiers, and artillery guns to remote locations on the Eastern Front.Show moreShow less
Before buying this game I read the reviews for Spintires: The Original Game. I was mislead by some idiot's review who said the developer had been cheated by its publisher. First of, let's start by separating the rumours from the facts: https://steamcommunity.com/linkfilter/?url=http://www.oovee.co.uk/forum/topic/13573-the-truth-behind-spintires-the-original-game/ . The lead developer was actually paid millions and decided to defect from the company, stealing the code and launching his own counterfeit copy. Pavel, the lead developer was not the only person to work on the game. He had the vision but also an entire team from Ovee backing him up. He stole the work of his fellow programmers. As a dev, I cannot stand by that. Let's compare real quick: -Spintires, has more features and development is still going for free. -Mudrunner, removed features and added paid DLC. -Mudrunner costs twice as much as Spintires. The guy who made Mudrunner is now looking at making Mudrunner 2, while Mudrunner isn't even finished. Usually the reviews are pretty decent but I'm pretty pissed I was mislead by my fellow consumers. Hopefully this review can stop someone from making the same mistake. If you have ethics, buy Spintires: The Original Game.Show moreShow less
My son said he's got a game he thinks I'd be interested in so I watched him play Mudrunner. He has the ability to make hard things look easier than they are and he made Mudrunner look, not easy but at least do-able, and I thought it looks like fun and a challenge so ok I'm in. At first I found it hard, frustrating, too much for me and almost gave up, but when I got over this and discovered other trucks to use, better ways to do things and I began to understand the maps, I felt a lot more comfortable and confident. And so, unknown to me at the time, my addiction began. I became competent then more experienced and now I have a truck, the Oshkosh M977, that will take me anywhere I want to go with a trailer and combined value of 8 points per load, so there's just one load to each mill. I fell in love with the brutality of the wilderness and became obsessed with the isolation from humanity, and wanted so much to actually be there, and this is my fantasy; I live here and this is my job. Whichever map I go to my garage has all the mod cons of home; a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with electricity, running water, plenty of toilet paper (wouldn't want to run out of that out here) and a big bedroom for my comfortable queen-size bed. I get food and all my supplies dropped in once a week by chopper and I'm here all by myself, all alone, no people, and loving it! I'm totally in awe of my new existence and can't get enough, even when I'm going to sleep at the wheel and running of the road I'll wake up and keep going, even start a new map, because I just don't wanna leave. Oh, and of course, I also have the best gaming computer and in my spare time when I'm not fighting with the environment and delivering logs, I can play Mudrunner.Show moreShow less
releasing snow runner on an other launcher with upgrades announced for mud runner is why you deserve a negative review nowShow moreShow less

After the desaster with the original Spintires the comunity bought into the idea of Mudrunner but only because improvements were said to come. However Mudrunner is basically Spintires with 2 more DLCs and after all that time after release not much changed. Now Snowrunner was announced with all the features and improvements that were already promised for Mudrunner. And as a cherry on top it only will be released in a gamestore that should not be named. The game is good. As was Spintires. But as a player who bought both games to support the devs I highly dislike this behaviour of promising, but not deliviering and finally publishing on another gamestore. I believe the devs can't be trusted with what they say and promise. So I can't recommend buying any of their games.Show moreShow less
As someone who works on diesel engines and has drove vehicles like this in the military, this game is awesome. The attention to detail is incredible. your tire tracks are permanent even if you made them 5 days ago in some remote part of the map. If you drive in the same ruts over and over it just gets muddier and tougher to get through. I think they actually made the leaf springs bend and flex. Even running over trees is realistic. It truly simulates driving in muddy off-road enviroments. I love how you really have to think about your actions as if you screw up, your only real options are to salvage your vehicl or abandon it (and your hard earned truck-full of lumber). It'd be better if their was more variety of trucks, like maybe have a bulldozer or RT crane. Only complaint is the log crane. Ugh, wierd controls. Otherwise they nailed it with. They did an incredible job on this game.Show moreShow less
We are the people that helped pay your way to build this franchise up and your thanks is to not allow Snowrunner on steam? Nice job devs. Drown in your greed.Show moreShow less
All of the people saying its the same game don't understand that the publishers screwed over the dev's, so the dev's could no longer work on Sinptires so they need to come out with a new game inorder to make updates, new gameplay and etc. I see the new graphics are new and better, you now need to unlock maps, new water phcis. I find this game to be an updated verison or remastered game inorder to be albe to work on the game they loved. I say that I would and did buy this game becuase they are updating and working on it. I understand those who feel like they were ripped off, but remeber they had to remake the game and new gracphics and everything.Show moreShow less
