Our Verdict
The biggest problem with Neth's Apocalypse is that it doesn't know what it wants to be. The action combat isn't satisfying enough, the building management lacks depth, and multiplayer co-op is poorly supported. Every system feels like it exists to pad playtime rather than make the game more enjoyable.
If you're just looking for something grindy to kill time, it offers fifty hours of content—though thirty of those hours are repetitive. But if you're expecting a deep action RPG or an engaging village-building game, it falls short on both fronts.
What disappoints me most is how it wastes a promising premise. Post-apocalyptic rebuilding, multiplayer co-op, action plus strategy—these elements should have created something special, but instead they're just mechanically stitched together. By the endgame, you'll find yourself going through the motions rather than enjoying the experience.
Worth considering on sale, but definitely not at full price.
