Well I don't really know what to say. As it is a visually impressive set of story. However, I was under the impression that this was more than a visual novel by the tags and with the overwhelmingly positive opinion of it. I hate giving it a thumbs down because if I knew fully what it was before purchasing it, it wouldn't have any negative thoughts. The fact it is called a "game" is very misleading as you don't even have any form of decision making in the game. Which was my biggest issue. Maybe I was just excited to hopefully get something that allowed me choice instead of following a story line with no interaction. If you all love visual novels that are full of mischief and sexual innuendos have at it. If you are looking for any kind of interaction or activity other than clicking the next text bubble pass on this.Show moreShow less
It's like Nekopara Vol. 1, except you've got more catgirls and less money in your wallet and the dirty sock pile is starting become a mountain by the washing machine and your parents are wondering what you're still doing living at home when you're 26 and the only valuable item you own is a Chun-Li figurine and a bodypillow and your whole life has been a miserable walk of shame being bullied through childhood and never finding your place in the world until you've come to the realization that the only way out might be to commit suicide and leave all the pain on the weight of friends and family who you never bothered to reach out to nor took the time to understand what you meant to them. And then you experience this and all the worries in the world become silent.Show moreShow less
so I just finished this tragedy of a game and felt that I couldn't stay quiet about the three hours that were robbed from me. as a disclaimer, I received this as a gift from a friend, so I got it for free in a sense, but he still had to pay for it so I'm not checking the box. I was familiar with the first game and had thrown this into my wishlist partly as a joke, partly because I wanted to see where La Soleil would develop. it turns out it developed into a plot device that is used only occasionally when it's convenient. there has been effectively no progress in that line since the end of game 1 - the cats are still there, they still attract customers (who we hear about approximately twice in the game), and they still wear very sexualised and in no way baking/food industry appropriate outfits (which is expected, but might as well point it out now that two long-haired and probably shedding cats are making food there). even the kinda positive and almost good scene in the beginning of the game where Coconut saves a poor dumb catgirl is completely forgotten, despite seemingly heavy allusion that the cat will be coming over to the café and somehow be positively influenced by the others/something will happen. but I know that's not what you're here for so let's discuss the patch. to say the least, it's not good. if you are not interested in Azuki and Coconut, it's probably a complete waste, but if you have any respect for basic anatomy concepts, it's also not for you - let's just say that real girls won't be squealing in delight from you hitting their cervix, and neither will they piss on you from arousal unless they're way too young to be in a sexual relationship. (seriously - what was that?? some sort of callback or reminder to the fact that they're still cats? a way to draw in the fetish community? speaking of that, what's with all the brother/sister and big/little talk, as well? it's creeping me out.) the noises are just as horrific as they were in the first game, the moans are just as overdone, and the pictures are still as unrealistic as before. (also, why the ♥♥♥♥ are several pictures in the game (not necessarily in the R18 parts) effectively sideways? I don't want to tilt my damn head to look at a catgirl without feeling nauseous) the art itself is of a pretty decent quality, but it's probably a matter of whether you personally like it or not. I'm not even going to discuss how all the characters apparently live in Magic Japan, where everyone around suddenly openly and warmly accepts a guy keeping a harem of 4+ catgirls as his 'catpanions', and how catgirls are somehow magically bred to have no sense of jealousy whatsoever as long as they get the D often enough. (speaking of that.. how are more catgirls even created? do catboys exist? do women have to be inseminated by cats and then have the mutant child that results be taken away from them? I think the first game spun some poorly made story about genetic treatment, but that's super illegal?) so as a TL;DR: not worth it unless you're really into catgirls, don't care about any sense of reality in the game and are willing to pay extra for the content that you're probably after.Show moreShow less
