Lazy PC port with no resolution/graphical options so defaults to 720/1080p. Gameplay seems typical for a cart racer but the lack of character voices and animations really hurts this game. Hopefully these issues are rectified by the developer but as it stands I cannot recommend.Show moreShow less
Got this game with some other friends as a joke. Sh#t got competitive real f#cking fast.Show moreShow less
Locked to 720p with no graphic/resolution options. Other than that this game is a very fun and creative take on the Mario-Kart style racing game featuring classic Nickelodeon characters and solid controls. Online multiplayer is dead but there is still plenty to do as a solo-player.Show moreShow less
KAMGUSTA's REVIEW I know you want to know everything about the "Mario Karts" games on STEAM and how they compare. So here we go! GARFIELD Garfield Kart (2015). Avoid. The first of the franchise, bare-bones and without multiplayer. Poor gameplay. Garfield Kart - Furious Racing (2019). Good enough if really on budget. The remake, with multiplayer and proper joypad support. While it does not have anything fancy nor refined graphics and mechanics, it's a viable subpar clone of the classic Mario Karts. Garfield Kart 2 - All you can drift (2025). Not bad, but not one of the best. It improves the previous one in graphics, physics, track design and game mechanics, but it has only 12 tracks and was stripped out of fundamental options, like the ability to host games. Too pricey for what it offers. NICKELODEON / SPONGEBOB (THIS ONE!) Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 (2020). Quite good if on budget. This is the second of the franchise as the first isn't on STEAM. It's a bit better than "Garfield Kart", with prettier graphics, smoother gameplay and some modern mechanics like differently shaped tracks and the ability to make air tricks. It has a good amount of content and replayability but has its flaws, for example there are no audio voices and you have limite graphics options (you can't even change the resolution). Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3 (2022). Not recommended. It should have been an improvement, but they failed to deliver. It feels rushed and it's less polished and enjoyable than the previous. Most of the previous flaws remain and the newly added track shortcuts don't add much to the gameplay. DREAMWORKS / SHREK DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing (2023). Not recommended. It's a modified and partially enhanced version of "Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3", a little more polished and with magical paths instead of track shortcuts. It's not so bad, but it tries too hard to create some "DreamWorks feel" nobody cares about, without really improving the gameplay. DISNEY / MICKEY MOUSE Disney Speedstorm (2023). Not recommended. It has the most recognizable characters, great graphics, nice gameplay, good physics and it's also free. Well, it really isn't free as you have to pay real money to be able to win (it's made by Gameloft...). Unbalanced and unfair. SEGA / SONIC Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing (2010). Not recommended This was the first released on STEAM and plays very similarly to classic Mario Karts. At its time it was very good, but now it shows its age and limits. While better than Garfield Karts, with nicer graphics and more dynamic tracks, there are better alternatives, including its sequels. No online multiplayer. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (2013). Very Good . It improves the previous one in every aspect, finally on par with Mario Karts and Crash Team Racing. It innovates the genre with transforming vehicles and tracks that span in land, water and air. A little outdated, but even today can still be entertaining, especially considering all the content it has. Has online multiplayer but it's fun even in single player mode and it's far better than Garfield Karts and Nickelodeon Karts. Team Sonic Racing (2019). Very Good. SEGA tried to improve the previous one, but in doing so they removed the "transformation" part, which was unique. While adding "teams" and improving the graphics, they didn't put enough effort and some "magic" was lost. In some areas, the gameplay improved, while in others it did not. Still far better than Garfield Karts and Nickelodeon Karts, but not better than Transformed. Sonic Racing - CrossWorlds (2025). The BEST, if you can afford it. The latest one, SEGA learned from its past mistakes and addressed all the critiques. It ticks all the boxes: nice characters, great graphics, great gameplay, full voices, good controls and a lot of content. It's on par with the latest Mario Karts, if not better. Very pricey. OUTLIERS / VARIOUS Zero Gear (2010). Avoid. It was playable only online so when its servers died, it died, too. It's not a big loss, as not only is it outdated, but it wasn't even that good at its time. Coffin Dodgers (2015). Avoid. It's more of a meme than a game. Fun for just 10 minutes due to its humor, then the poor gameplay will force you to uninstall it. Super Indie Karts (2015). Good for nostalgics. Early Access, it's a homage to the old Mario Karts of the 2000s, with pixelated graphics and somewhat slippery controls. It has local multiplayer, but not online. The Karters 2 - Turbo Charged (2025). Good alternative. Early Access that came out of nowhere; nobody knows about the first one. It's a homage to Crash Team Racing, with neat controls and fun tracks. Every kart has same specs, making it a skill based racing. Even in this early stage, it's nice. It has local multiplayer, but not online. Now, you can pick yours! this is genuinely such a solid kart game but the fact that your save data always has a chance of resetting itself is an unforgivable bugShow moreShow less
If you are looking for a kart game like Mario Kart this is the game, it´s very fun and the pit crew mechanic adds more strategy to it. The only downside at the moment it´s the lack of character voices.Show moreShow less
No. No graphic settings. No resolution settings. Looks blurry. 30 second music clips on repeat on tracks. No voices. Looks and plays like a 3rd party indie game. Developers have apparently abandoned the game. Play the following instead : Any sonic racing game all 3 are amazing in comparison, super indie karts as it blows this out the water. Very positive with it's 180 reviews from people with extremely low standards. Gaming world has gone mad.Show moreShow less

The Moment you play this Game you realize how utterly trash it is and how this game got 84% positive rating (100% in the last 30 days) is beyond me. I've played Garfield Kart before this with my brother and while Garfield Kart has wonky physique's - the Game is overall way better (!) than Nickelodeon Kart Racer Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix is definitely better than the first one; ...but not by much. There still isn't any voice acting for the characters, the characters roster is questionable (Angry Beavers, Eliza, Darwin, and Ickis are no where to be seen) not to mention JoJo Siwa being a character, and they made Plankton a Pit Crew instead of his signature Mystery Rider vibe from the Original Nicktoons Racing. The upcoming aspects with the background of what all these IP's are (None of them are really "unknown" so its kind of a big IP) are whats driving me crazy: Players can modify their kart stats via car parts (wheels, engine, and, the characters they choose.) so it kinda has that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe vibe to it and thats it. The other thing that is pretty neat about this game is the Pit Crew, which consists of characters from past Nickelodeon installments to assist the player while racing (for example giving the player a boost after getting hit by an item, giving the player an item when they fill up their slime gauge, and giving the player specific-type items (Offensive, Defense, and support), it makes the player think of strategies of how they want to race but... Newsflash: It's executed poorly. While the Idea is great - the most of them aren't even working (Hello Mr. Krabs and its non-existent boost for slime coins). That's all the pros I have because Chief / Character Selection and modifying your Kart is the best part. And now everything else: The tracks are bland as well, aside from JoJo Siwa's track, surprisingly which is pretty fun. Also, there are Avatar (Aang and Korra are in this game as well) tracks in this game; which I feel is weird to have Nicktoons characters racing around Avatar based tracks. It feels out of place. There is also a battle mode, but it only consists of 2 battle tracks. You'll most likely get bored of it pretty fast. Item customization, balancing and everything else is nearly non-existent. Let me make this as clear as possible: No graphic settings. No resolution settings. Looks blurry because its not your native resolution but something else you can't change. 30 second music clips on repeat on tracks and even that is completely forgetable. No voices. Looks and plays like a 3rd party indie game. Developers have apparently abandoned the game and I haven't seen any updates. Online Multiplayer is absolutely desert-like dead. And the racing itself - while enjoyable at times - is too unwieldy and loose. Characters slip and slide around the track with little regard for friction. Drifting seems appears unnecessary (as does slowing down even so when you hit a wall) even on the fastest speeds and curviest tracks. Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2: Grand Prix borrows so much and yet still misses the mark. It may be the good will its progenitor has built up over the years, but getting hit by a jellyfish (this game's infamous blue shell) just doesn't have the same impact. Why do I get a "Garden gnome" on the 7th place while 1st place gets a coke (Boost Item)?? Balancing on items is also non-existent. And whoever came up with the idea to place a booster for an upcoming ramp 50 meters before the jump should get beaten up. How many times I was hit before a ramp and therefore did not make the jump is unbelievable and how often did we have a boost right before a jump where it was completely unnessecary? Too often. It's like the developers didn't even play their own game. Soundtrack, Gameplay, even the Maps (I've completed 8 Cups á 4 Tracks each (Some of them repeated itself...) are absolutely forgetable. I can't even remember how the soundtrack was like an hour after completing all cups with my brother. I can't even remember 10 Tracks because they were all forgetable and looked the same just with a different layout. A game that does all this 100 times better and is cheaper: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1085510/Garfield_Kart__Furious_Racing/ It even has voice acting (while not the most original one but stupid sounds is something I do consider a voice-acting) haha. Garfield Kart is miles better in every aspect, even though the physiques are wonky - its consistent wonky and not that inconsistent like this game is. Overall, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 is a mediocre at best but overall a really bad kart racer. Wait for this game to go on sale before buying it if you want to but I would say: Spend your money elswhere. It's not even worth the 2,50€ I've spent through a Fanatical Bundle.Show moreShow less
