Before I played this i had a small penis, no girlfriend and no will to live. None of these things have changed, but the game is pretty good.Show moreShow less

Nice horror game, fun with friends, and really well done in terms of quality. However at this moment, the game is very short, and has almost zero replay value. The game is in desperate need of content updates. I would only recommend buying this game on sale in its current state.Show moreShow less
Chased a bunch of little kids around a house and burnt them. Then did it in the game as wellShow moreShow less
Played single player and wasn't that much fun. I have no friends so take that into account.Show moreShow less

Great premise and atmosphere marred by total failure to communicate basic game play mechanics and lack of sufficient mechanical depth to keep things interesting. Play goes like this: Appear in a location with no explanation of why you're there or what you're supposed to be doing. Wander around aimlessly looking at stuff until the monster shows up and instantly kills you, with no real warning nor way to hide, escape, fight, or avoid it. (Online research reveals there are items in the game that will protect you from the monster, but you don't get the chance to learn that in-game before it kills you, and even once you know that, it basically comes down to luck; if you happen to have come across one before the monster comes across you, you're safe, if not, you're dead.) This will most likely happen in the first couple minutes of the game. Better yet, in multiplayer, the monster doesn't actually kill you: It puts you into a state where you can still wander around, but can't interact with anything. You're effectively eliminated from the game, but still stuck in the game. You can technically be restored from that state eventually, but not until so much later in the game that you're probably better off restarting if you lose someone before that ability becomes available. (And to even find that out without wasting an afternoon stuck in a game you can't actually play, you have to read so much about the game online that the game is kinda spoiled, rendering further play kinda pointless.) If you luck into not dying before you happen across the right note during your aimless wandering, you'll discover the objective is to... aimlessly wander some more until you happen across all the keys you need. There doesn't seem to be any strategy, or decision-making, or meaningful player input of any kind. You literally just wander around until you either randomly run into the things you need, or randomly run into the monster without a protective item. That's it. That's the whole game. And as far as I could tell, there's no variation between play-throughs; the keys and other important items are always in the same places, so there's no replay value. I really wanted to like this game, and was willing to look past a lot of indie rough edges like multiplayer using randomized avatars instead of chosen ones, generic UI graphics, providing a useless jump ability, and no multiplayer communication included (not even text or emotes). Unfortunately, the core game play experience just isn't well-developed enough to justify looking past all its rough edges.Show moreShow less
