The EULA requirement has been removed. If it isn't reinstated, I can recommend this game. It's fun with friends for multiple runs. Definitely has plenty of replayability for a little $8 game. There are some issues in regard to proximity chat and semi-frequent disconnections, however I've had stable runs with others that don't have these issues. However, the devs have stated that they are reworking the EULA, so its removal doesn't seem to be permanent (hence why this review is remaining negative until the final revised version of the EULA is released to see if the section previously complained about has been changed or removed.) ----------------edited 7/3/2025------------------------ Original review: Had this review been made 4 days prior, I would have recommended the game, no questions asked. The game itself is fun, buggy, but fun. However, due to the shoehorning of a EULA two weeks after release onto their player base, I cannot recommend this game. This is the primary problematic excerpt from the current EULA as of writing this review that has prevented me from both agreeing and being able to continue to play the game: Under Section 18 Intellectual Property Rights: "You hereby irrevocably, and without additional consideration beyond the rights granted to You herein, assigns to Landfall Publishing any and all right, title and interest that You may have, including copyrights, in or to any and all information, user exchanges, transmits or uploads while playing the Game, including without limitation all files, data and information. The assigned rights include the right to lease and assign the rights and make changes to the information and materials etc. To the extent that any such rights are not assignable, You hereby grants Landfall Publishing an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, assignable, royalty-free, paid in full license, fully sub-licensable through multiple tiers, to exercise all intellectual property and other rights, in and to all or any part of such information and materials, in any medium now known or hereafter devised." There is no reason that I should have to agree to give the developers the rights to my data and files WITHOUT limitation in order to play a game which I bought and played a week prior without having to agree to the same terms. There is nothing in the excerpt that specifies that the data and files for which the rights are being granted to Landfall are related to the game, rather, the language is sweeping and vague. What files and data is this relegated to? Does it include voice calls, text chats, and other programs unrelated to the game that may be running "while playing the game"? Based on the language of the EULA, I have no clue. When entering into a legally binding agreement, I'd rather err on the side of caution. Elucidation on this excerpt from a developer in case of misinterpretation/misunderstanding would be greatly appreciated. However, as it stands, until this part of the EULA is amended to be more clear and less broad, or removed entirely, I can not recommend purchasing this game.Show moreShow less
Peak is a great game honestly, Climbing a mountain together with your friends is one of the funniest (and most chaotic) adventures you will ever have! Collect your items that might help you finding a better route and try to not fall off. Its really funny if for example someone falls down and in proximity voicechat you hear how his voice gets more and more silent while falling :D You will have lots of funny moments, you will laugh, scream and fail together! Also you will get outfits for Achievements you unlock which is kinda cool, so customize yourself and get into the adventure! Get this game, for this price this game is basically a gift!Show moreShow less
Fun game? Yes. Then they did backwards jump with their new EULA. You can read it if you want in full but let me just say at what is the 6th rule. From the game's EULA: "LANDFALL PUBLISHING RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADD, MODIFY, OR DELETE/CANCEL THE GAME, INCLUDING YOUR ACCESS TO THE GAME AT ANY TIME. LANDFALL PUBLISHING MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY AS TO THE COMPLETENESS OR ACCURACY OF THE GAME NOR DOES IT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES OR AT ANY TIME." https://store.steampowered.com/eula/3527290_eula_0Show moreShow less
II’m an introvert. I bought this game for no real reason. After joining Discord, I started playing with other people, even though I’m not a very communicative person. After just a few days, I found a couple of friends who enjoy playing with me. As soon as I log into Steam, I get around 5 to 10 invites to join games with other friends. I’ve never felt this special in my life. Thank you for such a wonderful game :)Show moreShow less
WARNING TO STREAMERS! People can HACK into your game! I attempted to stream this today with x3 other streamers and we all had to quickly cancel the game due to an unknown situation. First, when my group (me and three chill friends) loaded into the airport, there was another person with us. No name to them. They didn't talk. They stepped out of the elevator and immediately died and turned into a skeleton. After a moment, another skeleton spawned nearby. We thought this was very odd and unsettling but that wasn't the worst part. Second, once we got to the island was the real problem. The four of us ran ahead to find food, barely a minute or two from spawn. Suddenly, all of us had Megaphones in our inventory. At the same time, the megaphones blasted an audio file which was STRAIGHT UP racial slurs. Some of us immediately turned off stream. We muted, removed VODs, etc. and the x3 that were with me were very upset by this interaction. This reminds me of the Webfishing thing some time ago where someone was able to hack into lobbies, obtain IP addresses, and do all kinds of nonsense. It seems like Peak may be in a similar boat. I hope the devs can fix it because this is a wonderful game otherwise!Show moreShow less
It's a good game, but it would be better if there was a strangle button that I can use on my friends when they eat all the food like a greedy piece of lardShow moreShow less
Game is fun but holding mouse 1 to climb makes my tendinitis flare up. Currently, you cannot rebind controls. I will change this review if they add toggle keybindings.Show moreShow less
