Great game, bad version (yeah, being 'Game of the Year Edition' means nothing).
PvZ is a great tower defense game, it's so popular that's available virtually everywhere. Sadly the Steam version (or any other PC version distributed through any service) is the worst of all: it's not optimized, lacks widescreen support, runs at the low-resolution of 800x600 and it can't be changed, Steam overlay not working, etc.
I've played the hell out of this game in other systems, I like this game a lot but the Steam version is not what it should be. If you want to play Plants vs. Zombies get it on any other system, just forget about this lousy effort.Show moreShow less

Great game, when it worked. Now it's plagued with problems (read the discussion boards), and there's effectively no official support for it. I've just gotten through a 1 week war of trying to get actual support to get the game working (with no success). I started at PopCap, as Steam has it listed as official support. PopCap, no matter what you categorize the ticket under will send you an automated message, redirecting you to Pogo. Pogo will tell you that you need to bring it up with Steam (which has no contact method listed). This effectively means you're stuck with a product that does not work and that neither of the two companies which -should- be responsible and have support for it, don't, despite still actively selling it.
In summary: Great game, buy it when PopCap and Steam manage to get their crap together and fix this one.Show moreShow less
