I have played the game a few hours so far, I have over 20 years in public safety in several capacities. My review will be mostly based on realism because technical bugs don't seem way out of line for a game in this stage. The game is fun, even for someone with experience in the field. This game comes so much closer than other to making an actual police simulator. There are a few basic things that are glaring errors I have encountered so far: 1-Cuffing people in the front, this is rarely done 2-Not mirandizing people being arrested 3-Inaccurate field testing for drug impairment 4-No delineation between felony and misdemeanor encounters . A weapons warrant would be a felony and would get a multiple officer gunpoint response. 5-Citations for crashes seem lacking. A rear end collisions would almost always be a following too close citation (or equivalent). 6-Radio contact or at least mobile data terminal usage is lacking. Every encounter is either logged via MDT or radioed in. Don't get me wrong this is a great start and it is early access so it will only get better. I am giving it a positive review because it is so much closer than most similar games. I hope additional accuracy is addressed sooner rather than later as it will be easier to fix the sooner it is changed. So fingers crossed this might be an actually playable police simulator.Show moreShow less
could not freely commit police brutalityShow moreShow less
Finally you can play as the bad guyShow moreShow less
After 5 hours of playtime and as a police officer in real life, I can tell you this game is awful. Number 1, if someone is fleeing from a felony, you draw your gun and issue commands. Taser in then used once you have determined they are not armed. Second, you can frisk for weapons (different from a SEARCH) anytime you are investigating a criminal issue. Third, you just can't breathalyze and drug test anyone just because they are driving. I mean you can, but only if you have established reasonable suspicion they are under the influence. If someone runs from you, and you have to taze them...why would you stand them back up and ask for their ID only to issue a ticket? That dude is going to jail. I can tell this game is created by people who have a fantasy about what law enforcement is or should be in their minds and I feel as though the developers heart is in the right place in making this. But please, consult some law enforcement officers on how some of these interactions are designed. Maybe it's just rough because its an early access and I can accept that. I would really like to see more dynamic interactions and the ability to add charges or arrest for multiple charges (like a DUI but they have illegal firearms, narcotics, warrants, etc.).Show moreShow less
Shot a civilian and got suspended for a day, just like real life.Show moreShow less
An Early Access title disguised as a finished product, with content sold as DLC. In its current state, police work is confined to very plain and often boring procedures. I very much enjoy relaxed Immersive SIms, but that's not what this should be. Action is typically an NPC running away from you when you find something out of order, then you point a weapon at them until he decides to respond. There is no reason to use a firearm. Using a taser is a gamble because if the NPC stops suddenly as you pull the trigger, it counts against you. Movement and driving is rough and unpolished. It's very obvious that the development team is not American and its made especially clear by how the setting feels. This game was rather promising when it was in Early Access, and I suspect that the budget must have run out at some point or they decided they could milk this cash-cow with minimal effort; this is, at least, what they are suggesting with their DLC strategy. This game is patently not finished and features that should be obvious inclusions in a police simulator are now being served off the chopping block at a premium.Show moreShow less

doesnt let me arrest innocent people like in real life note - i can now plant items on suspects (im now able to place contraband on the future meth dealers)Show moreShow less
Very unrealistic I commit police brutality and instantly get suspended for the dayShow moreShow less
Completely unrealistic. I was fired for shooting someone even though they were clearly black and had a cellphone, which would never happen in real life because of qualified immunity. Also there were no options to plant drugs, fabricate evidence, or shout conflicting instructions at people I deemed suspicious. Got in trouble for pit maneuvering cars as well. Just riddled with inaccuracies, really, and overall, blatant disgusting copaganda.Show moreShow less
