Ok, i got this game from a friend and it seems p interesting in concept and it plays rlly nice, but i played 5 minutes of it and i realized i just will not be able to finish it. This needs a seizure warning. Badly. Like ASAP. You're gonna hurt someone. I have mild photosensitivity and the flashing lights that play when you die gave me massive sensorial overload and a raging headache. I can't imagine what this can do to someone with severe epilepsy. There's constant flashing when you take damage, when you shoot, and just in general the amount of visual information happening at once on screen is too much. My issue isn't even just not being able to play, like, ig some ppl are not gonna be able to play some game, but the fact that i downloaded, read the store page, read the community section and started playing it and had absolutely ZERO warnings abt potentially seizure inducing imagery is actively irresponsible on part of the devs, and makes me give this a negative review. If this changes, i'd like to know, then i'll delete this review.Show moreShow less

It's hard to complain at this price, but I will. The level generation is great, it does a good job of letting you constantly move in a general "forward" direction without stopping. But the game is (intentionally) "psychedelic" enough that, early on (before you tune out the flashing effects), it can be easy to get turned around and be disoriented enough that you don't know which way is forward. Since this is a game with a strict timer, that's usually the end of that run. If you like using the same mouse sensitivity in every FPS, using a web app to translate your sensitivity from one game to another, that won't work in this game. The sensitivity setting is a slider without a number, so you'd have to find your ideal cm/360 sensitivity the old fashioned way. If you use two monitors, this game doesn't lock your mouse cursor to the game. You'd need third party software to do this manually. I lost a lot of runs to clicking outside the game window and having it minimize. It's tough to interpret the skull chalice that represents your remaining HP and time. After clearing a level, it resets to full, but it always looked mostly empty to me. Sometimes you'll drop to low enough HP that the timer shows up, and you think you'll get caught in a loop you can't break out of, where you kill an enemy or two and the timer immediately shows back up, because you aren't killing enough. And yet, sometimes that doesn't happen—you get a few kills and the chalice looks healthy again. Other times you feel fine, but you jump up or down a floor, get hit while you're getting your bearings, and you're down to the timer. And that's the next issue: getting ambushed. You have to go fast because of your shared HP+time resource, but go too fast and you'll get ambushed by enemies around the corner or on a different floor, and they (especially the melee enemies) can kill you really fast. It makes it feel like there's a major luck element to winning. If enemies appear mostly in your line of sight, you're golden. If you go to another elevation and get hit twice from behind by the melee enemy, and something else shoots you while you deal with the melee enemy, you can die abruptly. It's too easy to get blasted as you're getting your bearings on a new floor, and going up/down while shooting preemptively can be counterproductive, because the screen flashes when you shoot and you can't see what's going on. If you get blinded by the flashing enemy in the later stages, it's either harmless, or it makes you die from walking into a melee enemy. The game has a lot of situations that can kill you abruptly. The powerups are good overall, but the starting weapon is one of the best weapons, and the uzi feels like a worse pistol. The compass is dumb and unnecessary and sucks and might as well be a baseline UI element. "Walk backwards faster" is a lame upgrade too, even for dodging. It's not bad to have bad items in a pool of random items, but there are few enough options in this game that the bad ones showing up can make you prefer to take nothing at all (you don't have the option to skip). It's good for the price, but the mouse cursor leaving the game window is annoying enough for me to refund it. The game crashed once in 2 hours, which isn't bad, considering it's a pretty new small-scale game.Show moreShow less

The gameplay is fun and it has very nice spritework, but its just genuinely unplayable due to all the flashes. I turned on and off vsync and the film grain off, but it's still an epilepsy simulator. I love crazy fast twitch shooters and oversaturated colors but this is simply uncomfortable. I've literally never had to consider this as a problem before playing this game.Show moreShow less

A good game that feels like it doesn't want to be played. The mechanics are tight and the art kicks ass, but once you start moving, the highly pixelated visuals melt together. I repeatedly lost my crosshair in the mess, and couldn't aim with a damn because of the mouse smoothing that can't be disabled. If the experience was even marginally better, I likely would recommend this game, but for me it was more painful than enjoyable.Show moreShow less
imagine if DOOM and Hotline Miami had a baby, and that baby came out the womb smoking DMT. Nah, but for real. This game is so much fun and addicting, it's so satisfying hitting headshots while strafing through this fever dream world. The game isn't too long and the price reflects that, but the art is gorgeous and the gameplay is solid. I would love to see more items/weapons added, and more levels and lore. I want more of this!! Great job to everyone involved.Show moreShow less
