Let's get a bit of context first, shall we? I do like this kind of humour, (especially political satire), and controversy isn't an issue, as long as it's done well. I like TV shows such as Archer or films such as the brilliant Team America. Probably the most obvious comparison to this game, South Park has always seemed to be more of a hit and miss whenever I've found myself watching it. So having heard a reasonable amount about the POSTAL series over the years, I was mildly interested and picked this up for a dirt cheap price the other day during yet another Steam sale. After playing it for a bit, I was disappointed. Quite simply, I don't find POSTAL 2 funny, or even interesting, to play. I understand what it is trying to do, as well as the appeal and success of the game. But controversy for controversy's sake is a huge error when it comes to this kind of humor. Gameplay itself is nothing more than average for the mid-2000s period and I doubt you're here for graphical fidelity. Placing my own thoughts aside though, hats off to RWS for having the balls to continue to release and support the series.. it's a good thing that the gaming industry has this kind of thing, even if it doesn't work for me personally. But chances are you'll still enjoy it, so if you're in the mood, ignore my review and by all means, enjoy. It's not a "bad" game. I don't hate this game, and no, I'm not a religious conserative or lobbyist. Quite the opposite in fact. I just didn't find POSTAL 2 enjoyable. Find out if works for you.Show moreShow less

I'm generally a pretty nice guy, but when I get my POSTAL on, that niceness pulls a hard U. Like, I get all multi-cultural, you know? I shovel people to death in the streets like I'm Russian. I run around town with my limp noodle dangling out like I'm African. I steal and eat 37 donuts in one sitting like I'm American. I kick people's dogs in the face like I'm Belgian— Wait, I actually am Belgian. But I haven't kicked a real dog in the face, though. Because—once again—I'm a pretty nice guy. Generally.Show moreShow less
Of historical interest but not much else While I can appreciate anything that got a bunch of Senators riled up in the 90s, time, tide, and technology has left the POSTAL series behind. Some aspects, like the encounter with a marching band and the Gary Coleman boss battle, are timeless. However, the fact remains that the Grand Theft Auto series has swept in and done most of what POSTAL 2 does but better: the rampaging, the satire, the nose-thumbing at authority. Maybe a real modern sequel might very well make the grade, the most value playing this game is to see what all the fuss was about.Show moreShow less
