I've played this game a lot... like, a lot a lot since buying it around 6 weeks or so ago. It can be an absolute load of fun at times. Other times, you get to deal with trolls, leavers, racists, and people that are just setting out to ruin the game. Unfortunately, the admins and developers of this game are those same people. These admins are willing to ban your account (mind you, in a game that ENCOURAGES YOU TO BE SOCIAL AND DECEIVE) for next to nothing at all, while not even providing their users with a clear set of rules. When I asked the admin why I was banned, he said that I should check out the forums. Why should a player have to check the forums for such a thing? Why is there not in-game explanations of their rules, and why when violating those rules, are players NOT EVEN TOLD WHY. I've received no emails, no messages, no chat description of what happened --- simply banned. It isn't acceptable, especially in a game like this. In a recent patch, the devs implemented a system for players to upvote others that played well, were friendly, or "FOR ANY REASON YOU CHOOSE TO UPVOTE THEM". This has led to "FRIENDS", and groups people, instantly blasting through the "ranks" that are associated with one's behavior. Despite playing with 1 friend during about 1 hour of playing, I still ended up with max rank after less than a week or so. However, this has NO effect on them banning you, despite THEM suggesting it represents you being a good representative of the community. At this point, I'll be selling my in-game items on the marketplace and moving on. Words of advice to these devs: Transparency with your plans, your systems, and your choices is key... get better at this and I'll consider playing the game in the future when it is likely dead or free.Show moreShow less
Made a friend.. We took down bears, opened bunkers, told each other stories of random bullshittery.. Killed me at the end 10/10Show moreShow less
So much better then Among Us, but it's literally dead. In EU you'll find 2 servers that are unlocked. Devs should lower the price and pay off some streamer to get some attention to this. Currently it's a waste of a really good game.Show moreShow less
By far the best social deception game out there. Extremely underrated in comparison to 'Among Us' and yet quite better. Prepare to betray your closest friends or complete strangers as you build fond trust with them in the struggles of the snow, only to end up driving a pickaxe into their forehead when they least expect it, watching them look at you with “Why? I trusted you” puppy eyes, bleeding out in the roar of a snowstorm. With every new swing at them, you feel like a horrible person (or let your inner psycopath shine brighter than ever) as you silence their final screams for help and drag their now inert body behind a rock, later telling everyone that “he probably got lost in the storm.” Many will accept the explanation, except for the sharp-eyed kid who voices his suspicions loudly — the kid is too smart; the kid has to go. BEAR IN MIND: The game might feel a tad complex and confusing only at first. But don't give in to the first impression! Play it for a little while and you will understand all mechanics quickly (especially now that the devs added a quickified and simplified 'Cabin Fever' gamemode to get the gist of the game). All confusion will turn into enjoyment, and you'll have a blast playing "mental 3D chess" with other experienced players or friends. Just keep in mind that you might come across newcomers who are thereby clueless and they might 'ruin' your strategies or thinking - be understanding (you were there at some point too when you first started). Four years later after its release and boom, it still receives constant updates and new content by a seriously loving and dedicated team of developers.Show moreShow less
The report and rating system of the game is too strict. Just because you are a traitor and finished off the survivors doesn't mean you should get reported cuz they don't like you. Maybe consider a less strict rating system where reports will be taken in a more mature way, instead of just giving players thumbs down for playing and succeeding their roles.Show moreShow less
This game should be more popular than Among UsShow moreShow less
Joined a public match that had one of the moderators of the game in it. All he was talking about was how he can ban people. For about several games he would gloat about his authority. A player didn't fully understand the mechanics of the game and got frustrated when he thought he was being trolled. Instead of the moderator explaining how the game is played to the player, the moderator just ridiculed and provoked the player even more and then threatened to ban him. After the match was over and the player left, the moderator asked the lobby if he should give the player a 24 hour ban or a 48 hour ban. It was awkward, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. Game is fun.. playing with the moderator was not... Update 1: He is one of the Community Managers. If you are able to pull up the gameplay and voicechat of the matches, I'll let you know the date I played with him. Update 2: I sent an email several weeks ago and never received a response.. It does make me concern that the behavior from one of the Community Managers will continueShow moreShow less
This developer would make a lot more money if they lowered the price. Among us is FAR more popular and it is $5 and Project Winter is the same game, but superior to Among us, yet no one plays it because $20 is too much for it.Show moreShow less
I had wanted to play this game for years, seeing it on youtube. A combination of finances and friend groups didn't allow me to get the game until very recently. We had a great time playing, but after a few games the developers implemented an update that I am sure killed the game. There is an integration of ToxMod. For those fortunate not to know what this horrible "feature" is, allow me to enlighten you: ToxMod is an AI algorithm which records your voice chat without consent in order to censor its own playerbase. Even private games are recorded, and anything that this team deems "innappropriate" can get you banned. Not only this, but ToxMod as a company is looking to impliment a system where you have a social credit score across all games, and if you are flagged in one title with ToxMod you will be more closely watched and recorded in all other games that choose to use this horrible software. Overall, I would like to think this move was made with good intentions, to help make a more enjoyable community around their game that required years of hard work to make. However, this blunder has alienated its already sparse playerbase and is, in my opinion, overstepping their authority and boundaries/responsibilities as a developer. I wish I could say I was hopeful for the future of this game, but now this game is officially dying. Sad to see it go, and so soon after I bought it.Show moreShow less
