perfect free style parkour game, it would be cooler if he added multiplayer and like tag or somethingShow moreShow less
I really was excited for this game. I enjoyed the pre-release versions and had a good time, but was keen for full release with some more content and more importantly, improvements to the core mechanics. Unfortunately it seems most of the problems with the gameplay have not been addressed. I feel like I am at war with the controls, constantly fighting missed inputs and poor hit boxes on objects I have clearly got my feet onto or over. These aren't massive issues in isolation, but combined together along with challenges that feel like they were designed on a build of the game without these problems it leads to frustration. And worse, once finally achieving the gold medal, no sense of accomplishment because you don't feel like you've overcome the intended challenge. I do fully understand that this is a one man job and in that regard its very impressive. The reason I feel so disappointed is because it seemed like the game was improving incredibly well with each update through its early access phase. I do really hope that these issues can be addressed and improved with future updates. I don't necessarily NOT recommend this game as it runs very well, looks and sounds good, and scratches a parkour itch that often isn't scratched in this way in games. I am mainly voicing my disappointment and criticisms over the 1.0 release of the game. (Please post "skill issue" comments in the allocated comment space)Show moreShow less
Totally recommend this! My one critique? NO. STEAM. WORKSHOPPP!!! this game would SO benefit from mods and a community to build off of. Theres a few mods already in use so why not open it for steam workshop? It would benefit it SO much. BUT! i totally understand why you wouldn't want to add it in either. Especially if the game is changed beyond your vision and anybody can do that. That I do understand. BUT! custom maps and things are already great and in use on nexus mods website so why not add it in as a steam workshop option? That's just my take. But either way, even if the game is a bit dry right now, its still a lot of fun. I want the dev to add in a night mode or a cyberpunk city kind've map to the place. I think that'd be pretty darn cool but that's just me. TL;DR great parkour game with fun mechanics. Janky on some parts but fun nonetheless! It's a great way to pass the time with some music and to just relax. The game will also be further updated so even though additions to the game may be slow, a modding community just might help! edit: This review feels like it was written by a 6 year old for some reason. I think I was just really excited. I still agree with what I said, but I think further addition to smoothness is needed. Also, I think we really would benefit from custom maps, but i understand why thats so difficult to implement with such a complex traversal system. TL;DR 2: Great parkour game with less jankyness. Love it so much. multiplayer is flawless. Deserves a $20, maybe even $25-$30 price tag.Show moreShow less
I watched the development for this game like the rest of us, got insanely hyped for its release only to be here in October regretting my purchase. the game was fun at first, don't get me wrong. But it truly feels as if the developers made the game and then decided to start phoning it in. This game should have been a free tech demo of something bigger. you get 6 maps that feel akin to a mobile game with how textureless and small they are. the lifeblood of the game comes from the community and custom maps, yet with every update there is more ridiculous steps you need to take to get any mods you installed to work. I have not played much of the game since it released, and I have not missed much of anything from the looks of it, in the time it has been out the developers have added new camera controls and hats, the same 6 tiny maps that again, feel like tech demos for the engine are all that there is to play. you jump around, get some clothes, and jump around a bit more in the same circle the map allows. very disappointing to see the direction this "game" is headed. for nearly 40 bucks you would expect to get an actual game. not something that feels like it should be played on an iphone 4s.Show moreShow less

How are you not able to change controls in a game being made in 2025. It is insane to not only not allow people to change things to what is most comfortable for them but then have the forced controls be godawful for keyboard and mouse. This is just cant be a real release.Show moreShow less
all this needs is a map editor and steam workshop support and it'll be peak.Show moreShow less
I honestly used to love this game before 1.0, it was a fun way to spend time every now and then, a sandbox parkour game without progression that felt really good to play. There were time trials/score challenges I never interacted with, but it was fun to just make a cool little guy in the outfit manager and then do flips over the entire map. Before 1.0, my only nitpick was that the maps were very small. In the 1.0 update, they added cosmetic progression, where you'd have to complete time trials or score challenges to earn feathers, and you needed a certain number of feathers to unlock cosmetics. Upon seeing this, I grew a lot less enthusiastic to play it, and just stopped entirely. I really enjoy the parkour game genre, I just really don't like playing time trials or anything of the sort in them. It's cool that they're there, but having them forced on me like this was unappealing to me. If you're perfectly fine with this, then by all means, I can't recommend the game enough, but I'm just too disappointed with this specific change to give it a positive review. I wish the devs the best, but I doubt I'll be returning to this game any time soon.Show moreShow less

The game seemed fun and has some solid looking visuals to the trailer that got me into it, but this game seems to have missed the point of Free Running and Parkour being about momentum and flow. The game has an overly complicated system of button combos (hold this and tap that, tap this and flick that, Hold this tap that flick and then just before landing double tap that again. If you are mid combo on anything it will not flow into something else and must be completed or you ragdoll for no reason other than the combo was not completed) that are needed to do basic actions that makes the game play more of a chore in remembering what to press and when than having fun running around and doing what the game is intended for. It also fails to explain that some actions are not able to be performed while holding sprint, and that the obstacles you encounter have an overriding affect on the tricks you try to do. There is such a precise timing needed to do aerial tricks over half-walls you will end up vaulting them due to the combo of buttons to do the aerial trick is the same as the vaulting trick minus one. It took very little time for me to realize this game was not about flow, and more about frame timing and sequence memorization when I tried to just have my character do some jump steps up some boxes and he couldn't even do that without having to do some kind of combo tricks to get up two stacks of boxes. If you are into frame timing and tekken/street-fighter button combos go ahead you will really like this game, if you are looking to just run around and jump about Mirrors Edge games are much easier to figure out and control.Show moreShow less
