The only thing I want is a mode called "Open Road" where it's just highway for like an hour or two with truck stops along the way. You can stop and get food, drinks, games for the RV. Just a good old road trip mode.Show moreShow less
This is the first “friend-slop” style game I genuinely didn’t enjoy. In titles like Lethal Company or PEAK, every player has enough to do on their own, even when you’re mostly goofing around with friends. But in RV There Yet, it often feels like only one person is actually playing while the others just walk in front of the RV pointing directions. Beyond that, the game feels half-baked—neither polished nor interesting enough to make its chaos enjoyable. Half the time you can’t even climb into the titular RV, and the physics are subpar at best. In a game like PEAK, janky physics can add to the charm, but RV There Yet offers so little besides that it just becomes frustrating. Plenty of people seem to be having fun with this one, but I have to ask: is the game actually good, or are you just having fun because you’re hanging with your friends?Show moreShow less
I thought this was a chill RV sim, but somewhere between my 47th cigarette and the 9th flat tire, I realized I was actually living my dad's midlife crisis. Fix RV. Smoke cig. Get Mauled. Peak gaming.Show moreShow less
Really wanted to recommend it, but won't. The game is super fun with friends — no doubt about it. The concept is unique, chaotic, and genuinely enjoyable. If you’re playing with a group, you’ll definitely have a great time. BUT… The glitches and bugs are everywhere: The winch is very fun to use, but is so glitchy that at times it feels more of a troublemaker than helping u out. The RV freaks out on any moving platform. And there are tons of small bugs throughout the game that ruin the flow. Also, considering its basic level art style - the game should perform much better than it does. People on Steam will destroy a AAA game for this level of performance and jank — but indie games often get a free pass. I’m not one of those people. Fun doesn’t excuse bad optimization and sloppy bugs. Great idea, great fun… but seriously needs polishing and proper performance fixes.Show moreShow less
Very education game that teaches the most important survival lessons you can learn. -Beer makes you stronger. -Cigarettes make you faster. -Burgers are all-healing. -Bears can rip through solid steel in 6 seconds flat. -The RV is simultaneously the most rugged, and flimsy vehicle ever constructed.Show moreShow less
The game has alot of potential to be very fun with friends and gave me a few good laughs, but its currently filled with bugs and would have benefited from being released in early access. The puzzles/obstacles also get kind of repetitive, most of which were solved with the same solution over and overShow moreShow less
The game should have random map generation or mod tools with Workshop integration.Show moreShow less
TLDR; Good concept, rough execution. Should've been an early access When I saw this game pop up on (I think) Instagram a bit ago I was pretty exited for it. Me and two friends of mine got the game immediately after it's release and played for about an hour. I'll just get straight to the point - this is not a full game, yet. In it's current state the game is rather buggy and feels really rough. Bears, and players alike, can walk up almost 90 degree angles, the item storage system inside the RV feels unintuitive and isn't explained very well (some items must be put in different places). Maybe I've judged the game too harshly, but considering that this is a full release and not early access I expected a more polished experience. I've refunded the game for now since my friends did as well, but I'm willing to try it again at a later point.Show moreShow less
Love it, let people make own maps and other people can play them. Then this game would be unstoppable.Show moreShow less
Great concept, needed more time to cook before releasing. This is not a finished game, it's a playable game but it is not finished. There are holes in the map you can just walk to and see out of the level and game breaking bugs like the RV no longer driving regardless of park/gear. The Bad: - Almost every problem is most easily solved with the winch - The winch is consistently the buggiest part of the game - Game breaking bugs (RV stops driving, cannot revive downed players, etc) - They have the bar "health" mechanic from peak but it's largely useless and mostly just tracks 1 type of damage - Proximity chat is poorly implemented The Good: - Great core concept - Communicating with the other players to navigate the RV can be fun - Despite the bugs the Winch is fun to use - Lots of comical timing as your RV falls apart - The game is actually pretty impressive content wise, it's a long game with a few interesting shake ups Final Verdict: You can probably get a few sessions of fun out of this if you have fun friends to play with but the game is pretty broken with numerous obvious, easily replicatable bugs. Will be amazing once it's more polished, for now it feels very early access.Show moreShow less
